"The good: staff was very friendly and kind and the reserve has a beautiful view over the valley below. They went out of there way to be helpful. The game vehicles were comfortable and we appreciated having a storage locker between the seats. Anzel was super kind and really tried hard. We liked the little surprises that they had throughout our stay. The bad: hot water in the shower was good for 2-3 minutes and then went cold. The Lodge is slowly doing some necessary repairs and maintenance, but that will happen slowly over time, in the meantime come and stay for the kind, accommodating, friendly, and professional staff! Communal kitchen, fire pit, and pool! Was a great stay and I learned some new diving tips and will return in the future if I’m here again. "

"The lodge is lovely with very attentive staff. The cat sanctuary is a must visit and trips to Hluhluwe was easy to organise. It is an easy drive to St Lucia and to Bayete to see the elephant education demonstration which is a must-do. Be aware that there is very little around there so likely you will need to eat dinner at the lodge. The foods is quite plain with not much choice. Also be aware that the rooms have no TVs. I would recommend the Lodge for its position and the attentive staff."

"Safari was good no complaints there however, We booked the honeymoon suite, it’s the same as all the other rooms just with rose petals on the bed. They charge you extra for sundowners if you have a double, they charge you for water on the drives even though it’s offered to you as if it’s included. Food is average, very basic. Some local cuisine would be nice. Staff very difficult over charging and bills, no menu provided or price list for extra game drives, they made up the prices. "
