"Stay somewhere else. The first room they put me in smelled like cigarette smoke. I asked to change, and they put me in another room two doors down that smelled like cigarette smoke. Guessing the floor used to be a smoking floor. The curtains were broken, the frame around the door was broken, the wallpaper in the room was peeling, and they have a lock on the thermostat. All in all, it's giving roadside motel vibes."

"I spent one night with my 9yo son and highly recommend this property. It’s in the financial district just a few minutes walking from the Fulton St. subway station (various lines).
I am still dreaming about that bed!! It was a king and sooo comfortable and wonderful to sleep in.
I didnt get to use the espresso machine but it looked like the real deal.
Staff were friendly and helpful from the bellhops to front desk.

"The Doubletree on Stone Street in Manhattan has pleasant river views (which we requested), and was generally clean and well kept. Some of the carpeting was a bit dated, but generally it was in good shape. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was quite pleasant. And the staff was very pleasant, and helpful.
It also helps that there are at least 1 subway station within a 5 minute walk from the property."

"A great location for a traveler visiting NY. I travel alone and the staff was super helpful. Delivered a fridge and blanket in minutes upon my request. Gym is great asset but was just sad there was no furniture up on the terrace. Promoted as an asset and would be a nice spot for morning coffee or afternoon wine. I went up anyway but no place to sit.
