"Stayed in 410. There was a noise from the roof all night long. The room’s entry way was sticky and the glasses in the room were dirty. Probably best to offer disposable cups. The room was modern, not like the old tired rooms you find at other hotels in town. I really wanted to give this new establishment a 5 star rating but because of the noise all night long, I cannot. When we first checked in the front desk was very kind and helpful. Offered us a drink of our choice and offered free play...

"The cottage was restful, charming, clean, airy, and comfortable. Our host was welcoming, informative, helpful. Our breakfast was delicious and it was so pleasant to share the table in the main house with other travelers. When we needed a few things for the house, help was swift in coming. We could easily have stayed longer!"

"There was close and easy assigned parking. Loved staying here. Very cool building and great staff. Only complaint is the beds ans pillows are not good. But would stay here again!"

"I found the Cedar Wood Inn to be very comfortable and quaint. Very clean and well maintained. There were 2 outside sitting areas that were great for drinking morning coffee and winding down the day in the evening. This was my first stay and if I make it back to Deadwood I will stay again. "On arrival parking was atrocious, directed to another lot, while it was hailing. Front desk clerk was not helpful at all, had a bit of an attitude and did not assist with assigning a proper room. The hotel appears newish. Half the rooms are on the busy highway, and windows do not block sound. My friend stayed in room on the old Main Street, and was woken by horses walking by at 530. In other words, do not expect a quiet room. The shower was lacking, it looked fancy but was not very good with...

"The bed was comfy but bathroom area was not adequate. No shower and toilet in a room smaller than a portable outhouse. "

We ate at the sports bar several times and the food was excellent. The bathroom needed towel bars and a grab bar. Our only negative was some very noisy staff on the second floor hallway."

"The hotel was very nice. Rooms were very clean and roomy. The layout of the room was a bit different. Bathroom was in front of the bed so when you were in the bathroom there was no privacy and it woke others from the light being turned on. There was no trailer parking on site which was not stated on the website when booking the hotel. We had to park at a public parking lot and was not able to leave the trailer there when wanting to go sight seeing. Had to take truck and trailer with which was...

"Pillows too large to actually use. Bathrooms from the 80s..Slots in the lobby 30 years old. Literally the historical aspect the only reason to even walk in."

"It took a while for someone to come up to front desk to check-in and there was not a bell to ring. Also, it seemed most of the stairwells down went right into the casino which is not ideal with a child, so we had to walk back up and take elevator."

"This was a great hotel, clean, safe, and very helpful and friendly staff. There’s a couple of restaurants in the hotel, Flyt steakhouse was a stand out. The food was so good, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Deadwood."

"Came out to Deadwood for Black Hills Motorcycle show & a weekend getaway. The Gold Dust was clean, comfortable & quiet. Everything is within easy walking distance and they provide free parking. Would stay there again"

"Hotel at levels Minimal steps, but steps none the less. Had to pass through pool area to get breakfast or casino. Very warm in that area. Staff friendly & accommodating. Trolly times confusing"
