"My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and...

"Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. "Second time staying here & overall another positive experience. It's a great hotel, with excellent facilities if you are a cyclist and with a perfect location in Oudenaarde. Only downside on this visit, we stayed 3 nights & the room was serviced but no coffee, milk etc replenished. Also the fire alarm went off in the night and people were evacuating themselves, no staff available to help or explain. Then after standing outside for 10 minutes the alarms stopped. Still no staff explanation. Not...

"Accommodatie erg netjes, mooie grote kamers. Wc in dezelfde ruimte was een minpunt. Jammer dat er ook geen toiletborstel was. Parkeren was belachelijk: 20 euro per 24 uur, zeker omdat het ook niet mogelijk was om in de buurt gratis te parkeren. Ontbijt was op zaterdag oké (we waren vroeg en alles was aanwezig) Zondag slecht. Het was druk en een groot deel was op en werd te laat aangevuld. Aangezien ik dit al eerder heb gelezen vraag ik me af of ze in dit hotel leren van de feedback."

"Great staff at reception staff, teeny tiny elevator and stairs are even smaller and quite dark. Firm bed, large room with a view of the back neighborhood. Bathroom ok - shower in the tub thin towels, no magnifying mirror. Bottled water ( refillable) available at no charge from reception. Super close to train station! "

"If you have issue with stairs it may be a problem. No elevators. Only talked to an attendant with whats app, you mat have a problem if you don't have the app. It ia close to the train station, about 5-10 minutes. A lot of stores and restaurants near by. I do worn you becareful of the shower, it is extremely slippery. "
