"Centrally situated near to all amenities. My single room was basic but comfortable enough, spotlessly cleaned every day and quiet. Breakfast (included) was plentiful and well cooked and presented. I recommend that you check the hot water on entry as when I checked in I wsinceas very tired after my journey and piled into bed. "Shame previous owners let the hotel go to disrepair as it was a wonderful place. 100% respect to the new owner who is doing a great, time consuming task (without the help of planning department) to bring this Hotel/Restaurant back to the great place it was."

"Everything was fine the lady works way to hard but is very dedicated to service. Breakfast was as I asked for. Service was prompt and quick. Coffee was French press at your table wondrous."

"The hotel is a typical old pub, the staff lovely and welcoming. The stairways and walls are dated, but the rooms are tidy, clean, comfortable and cosy. The full breakfast was beautiful. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again. For your evening meal we went to the Caven Arms on the recommendation of the hotel/pub manager and that was delightful too. "
