"Wonderful stay- the room was immaculate, the staff was always friendly and helpful, and the breakfast on the roof top was amazing. We enjoyed the happy hour at 5 and cookies at 9. Walking distance to everything."

"The service was outstanding, the butler service is impeccable and the complementary breakfast service was amazing. The rooms are very well equipped and there are free snacks etc. Regarding the amenities I did not feel though that this was a five start hotel. Outside of the small entry lobby/ bar there is no space to use. The gym can be utilized in a hotel around the corner, but it’s small. We were expecting some rooftop terrace or special experience for a five star. For a downtown city hotel...

"Please note that, although Expedia filters search results for “pet-friendly” properties, this hotel (Palmetto Charleston) only accepts dogs. They will very “kindly” turn you away and tell you to find another place. After driving nearly 300 miles, that’s not exactly a warm welcome."

"The staff went out of our way to make us feel welcome. We received a welcome basket with local treats when we arrived and breakfast delivered to the room every morning. There was a happy hour with wine, beer and charcuterie each evening. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was modern and a good size. We have already recommended it to several people and will definitely stay again if we’re in the area."

"Absolutely perfect location to walk, take bicycle taxis or horse drawn buggies! Loads of restaurants and bars in the area. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the extra perks like constantly available coffee, Arnold Palmer, and cucumber water, as well as a wine and cheese at 5:00 and a lovely continental breakfast made it extra special and a good value for the area. $28 to park but they allow you to stay until 3:00 pm, after their generous 12:00 check out time! We’ll be back for sure!"
