"Perhaps most important: the room description is inaccurate. It says there is a hob/stove in the room and there is not. Nor is there a fridge. The room was large, which was nice, but only one chair for a two-person room and only one hanger in the closet. No hooks for coats. They use perfumed detergent or dryer sheets so all linens have a strong smell. Since I'm not used to this it made it difficult for me to fall asleep. There is extensive construction going on courtyard side, and as of Jan. 2026...

"Ich kam etwas früher zum Check-in. Ich durfte trotzem nach Reinigung früher das Zimmer betreten...wurde sehr freundlich vom Schardi empfangen...sehr sympathisch!"

"We booked 2 rooms. Rooms were dirty. Carpet looked really old and stained . Sheets were itchy. AC was centralized but was broken. They offered fans 😃. Staff barged in and out of the room using their own key while we were in there. No privacy. Felt so unsafe. We checked out after an hour."

"The only issue I had was checking in (unless I missed something). I was unable to access the hotel entrance (door located to the right of the building) even after using the app. I walked in through the restaurant entrance and was able to find my room key in a cubby at the top of the stairs. Other than having clearer instructions with checking in, the hotel is fabulous. It's very convenient and within walking distance to bus and train stops."

There was no air conditioning, even though the ad said there was, the sheet was so small it didn’t cover my feet, there was no WiFi like they said, no laundry because no one is ever there to give you the key for it, hot water kettle but no coffee cups. "The property we booked was not the one we got. I booked months in advance but was told upon check in that the entire building I booked was having renovations done to it. When I went there, it did not appear that that was the case. They instead put me and my father in a 1 bed room when we booked a 2 bed house. The bathroom was shared with everyone else in the apartment which I did not like. We were refused the proper amount of towels. I only got 1 large towel for the entire stay."

"Centrally located in downtown Zurich, hotel Franziskaner. The room was amazingly clean and it has a kitchenette, stove, fridge, electric kettle that made our stay even more enjoyable since we can cook anything that we wanted to eat. The staff was excellent hands down they were so accommodating and so helpful, special mention to Alli and the amazing lady at the front desk (sorry I forgot her name).
