Top Caltagirone Museum of Contemporary Art Hotel Reviews
NH Caltagirone Villa San Mauro
10/10 Excellent
"This staff at the hotel is so accommodating and friendly! They were very patient with me as my Italian was not very good but many spoke English.
The hotel itself is beautifully located in Caltagirone and is easy to walk into old town.
The beds were very comfortable and our terrace view of old town was amazing! The pool area is lovely and so refreshing after a hot day of walking in the city.
Their breakfast buffet was phenomenal! So many options, including many gluten-free options."
"We loved the Costa Ragusa Borgo it was brand new, the room was spacious and contemporary. The service was fantastic for the buffet and the restaurants, everyone was always so eager to help. If you have kids - use the kids club, the staff is super professional!
The beach was hands down amazing! So clean and clear, you can wade in forever with barely a wave.
My only recommendation would be to change the towels more often ( house keeping needs some work) and the night entertainment needs some help they had an extremely soulful singer most nights that was not suited for the resort- they did have a group from Palermo one night that was awesome. In my opinion keep the dj on longer instead of the soulful singer.
All in all you can go wrong with this beautiful resort."
"The staff was extremely helpful at all times. Our stay was very relaxing with the beautiful property, gardens, pool, etc. The wine tour was excellent ! The dinners in the garden were lovely with an experienced sommelier. It was very enjoyable!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very nice, large and nicely decorated. Our room and balcony were huge. The restaurant seemed nice, but we did not eat there except for coffee in the morning. The only problem is that Google Maps cannot find the way there. We followed the directions, and it took us to a tiny road that deteriorated into nothing but a grassy field. Had we been able to drive further we would have arrived at the back end of the hotel property where there was a locked gate. We found 2 inconspicuous signs for the hotel by chance (not near where Google took us) and accessed the property. That road was nearly impassable as well, but at least it was a road! There is another way from town, but it is not marked and is somewhat complicated. So if you can find the hotel, you’ll like it."
"Great value for the price. The views are stunning, especially at night from multiple terraces. Less than a 10 minute drive to central Piazza Armerina, and there is a supermarket about within walking distance (or a very short drive). This B and B is very welcoming with no codes to enter, time restrictions, or other typical hassles - it was as if we had this large home to ourselves even though there were other guests (who were lodged in different parts of the large home). The host, Luciano, and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast, that included interesting cheeses, meats, eggs, cornetti, and coffees, was excellent. The air conditioning and showers functioned well. We could store our wine and other drinks in the common refrigerator with easy access. I highly recommend this place."
"This is a special villa from which to explore the Vittoria DOCG wine region and Chiaramonte Gulfi. The villa is beautiful and peaceful. We were lucky to be the only guests there at the time. The breakfast is well above standard for the region. We highly recommend this villa."
