Arriving just after a heavy snowfall, the hotel was inaccessible by road. I could not check in but was still charged for the stay.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Also very clean. The only thing was that it's quite remote. Also, pay attention when booking which room you book, because the garden view rooms don't have a nice view!

Deserved to be 4 STARS

Feels Amaze to be on Hills top, but it disconnect the walk/ take steps to mall road as it is little far. However Hotel provide free cabs to go and back but till 6pm, Whereas generally a traveler doesn't come by 6pm back at hotel. Some Room services were missing while check in but it was given on request without any delay. Almost Zero In-house Guest entertainment entertainment activities considering the disconnect from Mall Road. Food Menu require immediate add-on Variety it is very less However what is there its delicious. Overall I still recommend to everyone, who wants to have 4 Star hospitality with well behaved Hotel Staff (Which is very very imp). and pleasant view at hills top. GO FOR IT.

Hotel with a view

The Hotel is very well-maintained and the highest position in Mussoorie - which means you get great views - but getting to the hotel involves a steep drive up a narrow road with many hair-pin bends. So plan to reach the hotel when there is daylight. The food is good - though a bit on the expensive side. The buffet breakfast had quite a varied spread. The service is very good. One problem we had during our stay was hot water not being available periodically due to some plumbing issues - hopefully that will be sorted out soon. It snowed while we were there and we could not go anywhere on out first day - but we did enjoy the hotel grounds which is quite spacious

Worst stay ever in my life!

Worst hotel ever! No hot water no wifi gave us cold food. Half of basic things wasn't available. Location is bad and far away from all local attractions.

Good Location - Friendly Staff & Nice Food

Had a 2 nights stay in the hotel. Found it very pleasant. Welcome drinks were offered, hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative. Hotel offers a very nice breakfast. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Did not find anything short which was promised by hotel before booking. Would definitely recommend to someone !!

Tranquility and Peace in the bustling Mussorie

The hotel is a great stay given the price point as it lives up to the classification of a boutique hotel. The property is recently renovated and maintained. The views from valley room are great. Try avoiding the Garden facing rooms as the plus point is just a big balcony. Noise from the evening parties can spoil your peace or you have to shut the doors and enjoy inside only.

Nice family hotel at highest point in Mussoorie !

Dunsvirk is at the highest point in Mussoorie. Very picturesque. We lived in the Suite overlooking the valley towards the back of the hotel(#211). The room was magnificent with a spacious balcony/porch. One of the basic comforts that I felt missing was a bath tub. In terms of service, they did quite well and always with a smile. Again, one of the subtle needs that I think was strange to be missing in a hotel of this class was non-availability of an Iron Board in the hotel to iron clothes. The In-room dining is a little over priced knowing that the altitude of the hotel makes it hard for travellers to stroll out for dinner. The approach to the hotel is through the ever crowded Library Chowk that takes an eternity to get through - something that other travellers might like to consider but the view from the hotel is totally worth it. Overall, I loved the stay at Dunsvirk.

Overpriced , not very friendly property

Property is fairly new. The housekeeping staff was not very friendly and hotels basic amnesties and quality of rooms was disappointing for the price .

The hotel is decent

The hotel is newly renovated with all modern amenities. Location is excellent with views of valley. The staffs are good and was quick in their response. definitely ok for staying with family. The food at restaurant is good but quite expensive, reason given being the location. One thing that needs attention is cleanliness. They hardly change the table covers/cutlery/ drinking glass in dining area - all of it was stained with the previous days food. Was surprised when they even had the forks and spoons stained and kept as fresh pieces in the table. Was able to figure out this since I took the same table for breakfast after the previous night dinner. The forks were having stains of tikka which was left over the previous night. The bathroom was fitted with all modern amenities but was stinking even after they cleaned twice. Room cleaning could be improved since it was dusty on the floors and the quilt was stained and I asked them to change it. But for this on cleaning and neatness, the hotel is good.

The hotel was a wonderful surprise, great views and sitting areas. They rooms are great but they need to check them once prior to checking the guests in. Some corners were a bit dusty, nothing a little attention would not take care of. What would be great would be if they had a free shuttle from the hotel to the town area, the taxis charge too much when called up to the hotel for round trips.
