"We were pleased to find out that our room was ready for us earlier than the stated check-in time. Once inside the room, we were thoroughly happy with the cleanliness of the room, as well as our gorgeous beach view that overlooks the property and the pools. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff goes above and beyond! The only thing that I would recommend is air-conditioning in the elevator units as they get very hot and stuffy. Also, this is a pet friendly...

"PLEASE read entirely!!! My low rating comes from the response I received from the front desk. My stay was compromised by my back pain after loading the lobby cart & finding out (1) the elevators aren't working. I'm honestly too tired to drive back to the receptions bldg. A 3 flight climb. The following morning as I was leaving for lunch (2) well fed raccoons jumped out of a trash receptacle. (3) This was bldg (H) of The Holiday Inn south beach vacations of Myrtle Beach had a flooding issue...

"We were very impressed and happy with the facility and how it is maintained. The room was comfortable and the appliances and fixtures worked well. Beach access is very good as is parking for your vehicle. There is a variety of restaurants within walking distance that cover different fairs and the four we tried served up a good meal and experience at a reasonable price. This was our first trip to Surfside and we will be going back again."

"We stayed at The Ellie for the first time last weekend. It was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was really big, decorated beautifully and super clean. The amenities are top notch.
There are 3 large waterslides, a family pool, kiddie pool, adult pool and lazy river. Also has an indoor pool, workout room, 18 hole mini golf, several resturants and access to the pier with your room key. Great place for couples and families alike. I highly recommend you check it out."

"While the resort was great and quiet and good location some of the supplies were lacking. No dishwashing detergent, very small bottles of bath products, I would suggest bringing your own. The sink in the smaller bathroom was very slow and the garbage disposal was terrible. These are individually owned so someone should bring those issues to the owner.
Other than that the resort was great, Very clean, front desk employee was great!"

"our third year staying here and we had a good week. the only problem i had was with the shower, even after a maintenance call they just couldn't get the shower working correctly. i had to turn the hot water faucet on the sink in order to drain some of the hot water from the shower, it was scalding hot."
