"Pagoda Hotel got more than just a refresh. They spent some time putting together little logos and flair that made it more of a signature piece than just a hotel. Staff ensured we were able to access everything we needed. Note that it is still directly in the city and very close to Ala Moana Mall which means you get some traffic noise if on a lower floor. It was gratifying to see they still had lively carp and open air environment. The reduced price breakfast was not just value but also quality. "

"Okay hotel, could do with some improvements for the price. The mattresses in the rooms felt quite worn out and the room on the 8th floor was rather noisy from street rraffic and noise. Room was clean. Pool and laundry (extra fee) were well maintained. Be aware of $150 deposit and $30/night car parking fee."

"Upon check in to our first provided room there were some dead bugs on the floor which was a turn off. The room however was clean and smelled like it had just been freshened up. After going down to the front desk and mentioning the bugs in the room I was immediately switched over to another room 0 questions asked. The staff was so helpful and nice and understanding about everything. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed our trip as that usually starts with the hotel you’re staying in. We were transferred to the exact same room layout just on a different floor. The hotel is very nice and clean and has many amenities from the pool deck to the in house coffee shops/convenience mart. They have rental cars available through the hotel as well as an in house bar/arcade. Did not get to visit the bar as we ran out of time but stopping in for just a quick second it seemed like a nice vibe. There are many residents as the hotel offers hotel.com rentals as well as airbnb rentals. I believe some of the residents live there permanently but it does not affect the overall hotel in fact i think it makes it feel more like a home. We did not pay for parking as it’s 50$ a night however we were able to find street parking every night/morning. Be careful as the nearby street parking has limitations and you will get towed if you do not follow them. Overall a great stay and i will be keeping this hotel in mind next time i return to hawaii, which will be soon!"

"Bathroom needs to be updated. There are no grab bars in the tub/shower. Floor of the tub was somewhat slippery. Hot water ran out quickly. Toilet was very low to the floor making it difficult for anyone with knee issues."
