What stood out about this hotel was how reasonable it was. It was clean, pleasantly furnished staff ( such as they were ) were friendly and helpful. What I didn’t like is I was. Woken up 5 times by a drunken neighbour talking loudly in the corridor after midnight. I’m a woman on my own. A man who appears to be drunk whilst fn and blinding on the phone is very scary. I didn’t complain to the staff because I didn’t know where his room was. It’s an hotel. I decided he would be gone the next night. He wasn’t. It started again. This time I op med my door and told him to shush. He apologised and bl there’s on for another few mins. Then he went into his room and the night was once again peaceful. There had been no phone. I took a risk. I shouldn’t have had to.

Friendly, efficient staff. Comfortable king size mattress and pillow - nice to have daily clean and fresh towels. Delicious cooked breakfast. Pleasant and spacious restaurant, bar and lounges. Overall very good value for money.

I was apprehensive given a few reviews i read but overall it was a good stay the staff are friendly and helpfull the food was fantastic although we didnt have a breakfast the room was nice and clean the bed was a little hard for me but thats personal preference

Booked the West End as a half ways stop when was up in Alness for a cup football match. We checked in quite late and let the hotel know, the room was good size and nice and cosy, the kitchen and bar was still open and the food was lovely, freshly cooked and piping hot. We added on breakfast and when we arrived and it was the same lovely fresh breakfast. Never caught the name of the lady who was on breakfast service but she was lovely - very talkative and attentive. Would def stay again

Great location, tired hotel, zero effort

As the hotel has failed to respond to my email within their stated 48 hrs I will post an honest review. I appreciate this is a low cost room. The room is very tired. Upon arrival I could see that while hoovering may have been done, it hasn't picked up all that was on the floor. Various wear and tear all over, damage where the head board is, no toilet roll holder, the bathroom door damaged where someone clearly pushed it hard over the door stop, mould at base of shower, chair worn and ripped/damaged, lighting old and parts missing. The toilet is raised as though it's for accessible room, so was difficult to use. The bathroom also smelled very strongly of cleaning materials. The curtains let in way too much light, maybe use a blind? The bed felt past it's best days and the pillows really lumpy. A lose doorstop with a screw hook on the floor (glad I didn't stand on that!). Added to the fact I didn't see one member of staff until late evening at reception as I walked past. I get it, it's costly to do up rooms, and wood chip wall paper is awful to remove, but I just felt really unwelcome. IE it felt like you can't be bothered. All these small things, if rectified would make a huge difference. This could be a great hotel given it's location, but I kind of felt, as a guest, that I was an inconvenience.

Breakfast is paid for but very nice quality and the breakfast staff were amazing, so helpful. Room was beautiful, clean, large, good temperature, quiet woth access to a fridge that was a brilliant added extra. Such good price for such an amazing room. We will be back for sure.......

Some rooms are much nicer than others, we stayed previously and had lovely rooms. This time, rooms 3 and 5 were poor. Broken lights, a shower that worked sporadically, and bathrooms in desperate need of a refresh. Its a great value hotel, and the staff are lovely, but theres no excuse for broken lamps, and a shower that only functions properly when a nearby other shower is not in use ( the only explanation i can think for the issue).Breakafast poor, at £15 a head we got food that seemed to have been cooked hours before. Lovely helpful friendly staff.

Clean, quiet, even if a little outdated. One block from beach. Coffe and tea in the room. Has restraunt and bar in the hotel that offers good variety of breakfast and dinner options. And did i say that there is easy beach access? Yes! Easy beach access!

A lovely night spent here. Very clean room and the manager was excellent. Very helpful. The only downside was the shower with low water pressure and the thin walls. Great value.

Lovely hotel near the ocean. We had a Lovely walk along the ocean after each meal. Hôtel was located in a quiet residential area. Full service bar and restaurant. Perfect!
