Great little Inn and pub. Super friendly staff. This is the perfect place to stay if you are headed for the Duke Point Ferry and just want to stay the night. Take the back road right to the Ferry.
Karaoke night… Thursdays
Room 4 was nice although right on top of bar. Clean, very small

Liked: Staff & service
Rooms are nicely updated. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Check in was done in the pub which was a little confusing initially but staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Kitchen was just closing when we were checking in but they offered to make us dinner since we hadn’t eaten. Food was great!

Reserved and paid for room and no one was there to let me in. Had to scramble and find a place to stay.

The room was fairly nice.
The pub below played awful club music until early in the morning. Strong cigarette smell in the room.
Wouldn’t recommend.
The room was well appointed, very comfortable and clean. The location was convenient and on a quiet road.
The bar downstairs was not busy. I was there on a Friday and Saturday. Last call was at 10 pm. It did not disturb me.
The restaurant menu was limited and closed at 8 pm or earlier. It does not serve breakfast.
Too noisy for me.
It was karaoke night and the music was blasting through my room. I asked when they were finishing and they said around 9pm but they end up finishing closer to 11pm.
Also the hotel is right by a busy road and the cars coming from one direction can see you inside the room.
Not coming back
Even though the room was above a pub, it was surprisingly quiet. The room was beautifully decorated and modern, and all the basics were there. Price was good, and it was located near what I needed. Thank you! Would definitely recommend to others who need that particular location.
My room was directly above the pub's pool table so it was very loud after work. I had to leave for a couple hrs but it did quiet down mid evening. Not a whole lot of sound proofing from the pub or road noise.
The room was pretty (a couple stray long hairs in the shower) but otherwise good.
My biggest complaint other than the noise was the lack of a work space. I was travelling for work so this did hamper me that night. It was a cute room but I didnt get what I had needed for this trip.
When we checked in we were given a key to a room which was not cleaned and it was the wrong room. We then moved into a different room which had no kitchen as shown in the booking, the room was small and had hairs in the sink and shower. The bed was comfortable and staff was not friendly or accommodating. For the price I think you could find a better place.
The building is almost 150 yrs old, but the rooms have been beautifully updated with modern fixtures and fittings. My room was very small, but that just added to it's charm. Be sure to take your special friend, 'cuz this place just drips with romance. The coat hanger was created from barn board and claw hammers. The towel racks were black iron plumbing pipe. But it was all GORGEOUS! Kudos to the decorator.
It is not clear from the website that this is a room above a bar pub. The check in is a till in the bar. There are no documents in the room for information or safety. There is no staff onsite during the night. The band in the pub blasted music until 12:30. There is no sound barrier and it is very loud and impossible to sleep. Drunken patrons stood outside screaming, yelling, settling off car alarms for about an hour after closing time. They then moved to campers in the back parking lot and continued to yell and dream past three am in the morning. There was no one to deal with these problems. The room looks nice, but does not work. The rollaway sofa is too small for adults and completely blocks the doorway of the bedroom. One must literally climb over the bodies back and forth to go to the bathroom in the night, which’s wakes them as well. There is no place to check out and no information what to do for early check out. There is no toaster, but a nice kitchen. With taxes approx 300 dollars a night for four, a complete waste of money if you want any sleep. There was no website or anyone available to lodge a formal complaint; hence, this website is my only recourse.
The suite was ideal! Impeccably clean and well furnished. The space was tasteful and had everything you could need. Our room was small but just right. Noise did not travel through the rooms.
The Pub is the ‘front desk’ so be sure to ‘check in’ during the times they specify. Otherwise you have to make special arrangements. The pub has a very different feel than the rooms. The pub and exterior are causal but the rooms are polished. A gem!
Property was an unexpected pleasure. Tastefully decorated with unique charms. Staff was exceptional with carrying and over the top with helpfulness.
Want a gem.
