"Room was not well cleaned , windows were grubby and not cleaned one of the tea cups had dried coffee stains down side not washed correctly, 2 of the four ceiling lights in bathroom were not working and the air conditioner had to be turned off at night as made such a noise every few minutes We were woken Sunday evening with 3 fire alarm warnings going off whilst asleep after 11pm then woken again around 6.30am with further alarm’s activated not a good start to our journeys day back so we got...

"Such a fantastic location for accessing the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We had a three night stay in an “Executive Suite”. This has plenty of room, a stand-alone shower (though no bath in our particular room) and we didn’t notice any insects. Everything worked (well except the 2nd TV in the living area but we didn’t mind so didn’t report it) even sauna and steam room at the weekend which at other hotels has been an issue. "Absolutely stunning modern"

"A lovely place to stay. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the duvet was happily not tucked into the bed, meaning you could get straight in without having to re-tuck the bed sheet in (tucked in duvets is a pet hate!). The food was amazing, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the overall ambiance of the place was lovely. Will definitely stay again."

While there is some room for improvement with cleanliness and a warmer, friendlier welcome from the staff, these were relatively minor points. "I don't think you could find a warmer welcome, from the minute we arrived to heading off the staff at The Cresselly looked after us. We enjoyed a generous dinner and a fantastic breakfast, with high quality ingredients. With free parking right opposite and next to the lovely river walks, it is a brilliant place to stay. We enjoyed reading the history of the pub and the town, displayed on the walls. Only point to offer is that the Inn is near a busy road and I could hear it a little at night so...

"Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden. Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning)."

"The hotel seems to be a shadow of its own glory. Staffs were nice and helpful. We went there during the time when hot wave hitting the UK in July 2026. The room has no A/C and walking into the room feels like walking into a sauna. It was not at all comfortable. Good view of Aberavon beach from the room though."
