The hotel is a great choice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was extensive and fresh made. The location is walkable to the town center and waterfront. Highly recommend Grotta Hotel.

Great stay! The staff was amazing—very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is less than a 10‑minute walk from Naxos Town and the port and offers beautiful sea views. The staff also helped us book a rental car, which made everything easy. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

Our stay at the Hotel Grotta Hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful, pleasant and always in a good mood. The breakfast was plentiful, divers and delicious. Transfer was free and offered a welcome drink while they brought our suitcases to our room. Location is just above port. Highly recommend .

Don’t let the “2 star” hotel description fool you this place is an absolute GEM and is worth every penny and more for the price. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with top notch hospitality and attentiveness. Welcome drink, bags taken to our room, homemade daily breakfast, and amazing views plus they were always open and willing to give recommendations and advice on where to go and what to see. This is a must stay when in Naxos, you are close enough to town to easily get to everything you need and just far enough out that you can enjoy peaceful sunsets and quiet nights. I wish I could post photos because the sunset over the Temple of Apollo is a spectacular sight to see!

Being greeted by friendly people with a complimentary glass of wine and quiche was amazing. I did not have to worry about anything. I asked for a sea view room and I got it. It was clean and lovely. Who needs a sound machine with the sound of the waves from the window? The breakfast was a spread AND delicious. I also appreciated the complimentary dessert left in my room. I will be back!

Spent four days on Naxos and very much enjoyed our stay at The Grotta. The staff were great and very helpful, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our room was excellent and everything worked fine. While the location is not central and does require some rough walking to get into town, the views were good - especially the sunsets - and we had absolutely no issues getting around. We were very (very) grateful for the taxi transfers from the ferry to the hotel (and back again) - this made a big difference, even though the ferry port is very close (no sidewalks). Greatly appreciated! Highlights (for us): the peace and quiet, the location for walking to the beach and dinner (about 1.4 miles) and the fun things to do. We especially enjoyed the large and very well provisioned Greek breakfasts! All in all a most enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

If I could rate this hotel any higher, I would, everything was absolutely perfect! The staff during the day and in the evening were incredibly kind and accommodating. They arranged a rental car for us and made sure everything was perfect (we eat a plant-based diet.) Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The rooftop view was exceptional and I hope to come back again soon. We will miss the wonderful friends we made and the warmth of the island and the hotel.

Out of my two weeks vacation thru Greece this family hotel stood out for me and my wife ,from the amazing staff and the location, I never felt so much hospitality and true love for what they do , the peace I felt looking at those views and the breakfast is unbelievable ,I can wait to come back .

This might be my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. The room wasn't anything special - had a queen bed, a fridge, a small table, and a bathroom that had a shower that spilled everywhere into the bathroom as most did in Greece. The patio was pretty nice when there weren't cars parked on the street (we were on the first level) - you could see the Portara from our room (and the sunset behind it, if we weren't super unlucky with every night we were there being rainy). But where this hotel really exceeds is the service. First of all, the free breakfast is unmatched by any hotel anywhere. So much fresh food, including quiches, cheese pies, eggs, meat, fresh fruit, bread, desserts, and much more. Everything is fresh from the island and made by the hotel staff. It's a must-have in Naxos, honestly. Apart from breakfast, the hotel staff was awesome, too. They allowed us to check in early, and gave us some house-made wine and quiche upon arrival to welcome us! Due to some miscommunication (that was truly no fault of the hotel staff), we missed out on scheduling the pool & hot tub room a couple nights, and as an apology for the miscommunication (again, not their fault), they gave us a bottle of their incredible house white wine. All of the staff was so friendly and accommodating in any ways they could be. The hotel is also less than 10 minutes walking from the port and bus station. My wife and I would 100% stay here again when we find ourselves in Naxos again someday.
