"It's a shame we have to drive all the way to Tonopah, Nevada to enjoy the Mizpah Hotel. If it was closer we would be frequent visitors. Fortunately we now have a "must stay" option any time we will be traveling through this beautiful desert state.
Our pleasurable stay started with Todd at the front desk, who made sure we were comfortable with a "stairs access only" room that was in the oldest part of the hotel. I'm so glad we took this option; the room was beautiful with a large bathroom, two comfortable queen beds, and a small fridge for our perishable and Todd was so helpful with our luggage. Todd also gave us all the details on dining options, and I'm glad he let us know we could get full service restaurant menu at the bar. After freshening up in our room, we sat at the beautiful dark wood bar for some predinner cocktails. The bartender took great care of us. After two cocktails, the bar was filling up with other travelers and locals with friendly conversation, sports on the TVs, and great people watching to keep us entertained, so we ordered food at the bar. We each had a starter: French onion soup and the wedge salad. Both were delicious. We split the Steakhouse burger with a side of onion rings. It was delicious!
We had a restful night's sleep and then we had breakfast in the Pittman Room. Staff was friendly, food was hot, fresh, and hit the spot before we hit the road again.
Highly recommend the Mizpah!"
