Beautifully decorated. Nice and cool rooms. Spacious design. The bathrooms were excellent and water nice and hot. The only disappointments were there wasn’t an iron and no breakfast was served. However there was a wonderful cafe near by. Just a 6 min walk. It made the trip well rounded. I will most definitely tell my friends and family and will stay again! Lovely staff! Made my husband and I wedding anniversary a very relaxing and stress free experience.
Very nice old hotel, classy inside and out, comfortable room, great nostalgic feel to it. It’s so much better to stay at small old hotels like this! Hotel also has a very nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the evening. And…the hotel is said to be haunted!

The hotel keeps the feel of being back in the day which makes it very unique. It is in the heart of the town and had outside entertainment that was on the beautiful patio of the hotel.
The new outdoor patio was beautiful and a fun place to hang out. Only open 4-9 pm for drinks and shareables as their restaurant is being remodeled. Great location!
We recently visited the Faust Hotel and were very happy with our stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We sat outside on the patio and listened to live music on Thursday night. We will definitely stay here again when we visit New Braunfels!
They need to open up dining options! Side room covert to coffe shop or wine bar. We had a lovely visit so convenient to everything like shops restaurants and of course schlitterbahn!
The hotel is right in the center of it all. New Braunfels is a great little vacation town, with lots of restaurant, bar, and music options. There's the river for tubing, Wurstfest, Krause's beer hall, and so much in the few downtown blocks. Short drive to San Antonio but expect traffic, and much nicer and less crowded. A few museums and the Schlitterbahn park round out the options.
What a unique quaint boutique hotel! If you are searching for the "cookie cutter hotel" scenario - then skip this one. But if you are into history - culture - classic architecture - all with a great approach to Guest Service - then give this place a shot! I would go back in a heartbeat!
Great location, convenient parking, and so many places within easy walking distance. It's an old hotel, but very clean, and the staff is about the best I've encountered. The room was small, but I'd say cozy. Very comfortable and clean. There was a cover band in the late afternoon, early evening, and they were wonderful. Highly recommend.
The beds were so comfortable!
Very old hotel, so if you dont like that old style charm, you probably wont like this hotel. A couple ghosts... but thats fine. Just makes it more interesting!
Would definitrly stay here again!
Great staff. The rooms are a little strange with the elevated bathrooms. They are still working on the facility, so they try to utilize their common spaces to offset that the bar is not finished etc.
We really loved the old world charm of the hotel. The bellhop trolleys were a great bonus. I had read the reviews and knew there would be a shortage of power points and the bathroom a bit small and it was a challenge but ok for our one night. It was great having free wifi and parking. Really close to the main part of town with shops and great bakeries and restaurants nearby. Reception staff really helpful and friendly.
This is an historic hotel, with a lot of charm and centrally located in downtown New Braunfels. The trade off is antiquated facilities, but still quite comfortable. The staff is really great and I have no complaints other than a very slow draining shower. Maintenance was informed but unable to repair due to illness.
Amazing stay and service of the Faust hotel. The detail to detail from the historical architecture to the service of the front desk was five star. The lobby and front porch area was beautiful, clean, and friendly enough to feel like we were visiting a family member’s home. No breakfasts but delicious coffee (the kitchen is currently closed) served all morning fresh. If you are looking for a historical stay, this is the place. If you are looking for a chain hotel stay then go stay at a chain hotel. The bathrooms are smaller than most Americans are used to but it’s not uncomfortable. The location benefits far outweigh any inconveniences I could imagine because we experienced none at our stay. The front desk even held our keys on our check out day while we floated the Concan one more time before leaving town.
