"Very noisy (cars racing on the adjacent roads). The mattress was too soft. Breakfast was surprisingly mediocore (no biscuits or breakfast meats, and no fresh fruit other than oranges). The area was good (felt safe, close to restaurants). Parking was easy. The TV in the living room was small and installed too high for comfortable viewing. Small things, but they make a difference."

"Absolutely — here’s a harsh but still credible review that sounds firm, not messy: 1-Star Review I stayed at this hotel for two days and paid over $400. I specifically chose this property because it advertised a pool and hot tub, which were the main reason for booking. On the first night, the pool was shut down at 3:00 PM for “maintenance,” but from what I could see, no actual maintenance was being done. I then booked an additional night so we could celebrate my sister’s birthday by the pool. Instead, the hotel shut down the pool and hot tub again. To make matters worse, the hotel also turned off the water for approximately seven hours. That meant we could not shower, use the bathroom properly, or enjoy the basic facilities we paid for — let alone the amenities that were the reason we stayed there in the first place. When I requested a refund so I could leave and book a different hotel with working amenities, both the hotel and Hotels.com refused. That is unacceptable. Guests should not be charged full price when major advertised amenities are unavailable and basic water service is turned off for most of the day. This was a terrible experience, especially since the stay was supposed to be for my sister’s birthday. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting working amenities, decent customer service, or fair treatment when the hotel fails to provide what was paid for."

"When I arrived to check in the office was closed and had a number to call. When I called the number they refused to give me a room, saying that they were sold out and that I missed check in time. The woman on the phone was very rude and started to curse at me."

"Firstly room I reserved wasn't ready early as promised nor ready 15 minutes before check in. Room I got was dirty, my dog was eating popcorn fried chicken crumbs off stained rugs!! Furniture stained!! Food left in refrigerator!! Huge box of pizza bagels!! Lights blinking over a dated dirty microwave. Shower curtain so short (just a liner) water ran out onto floor. Shampoo mounted to shower wall fell of while using Elevator was under total remake they worked on 7 days at least during my stay, may have took longer 1guy job??Inconveniencing you to walk around entire building inside to get to room. Safety issue Temps where 90% of time 78 to near 80 degrees in hallways!! Noticed cockroach at side entrance inside!! Then again in second better room I asked to move on 2nd day of my 7 day stay.Also my last in this Dated Double Tree Staff was helpful and moved us to better room, doing what they can with what they have to work in. Dirty dated Hotel No coffee offered after there absolutely over priced breakfast dated restaurant closed, never noticed 1 patron in there. How customers review this place favorable is beyond me"
