Door lock was broken and the keys weren’t working as well. Rooms are decent and the good part about this hotel is the location.

For approx $100/night (+ $25 to park), this was a safe, convenient, well located choice. Great location right on the streetcar line, so it’s a quick ride to and from the French quarter. The staff is omnipresent, attentive and helpful. The grounds are well kept. There is room for improvement where maintenance is concerned. Chipped furniture, damaged elevator floor, one elevator not working, laminate floors not completely affixed to the subfloor and inconsistent water temperature in the shower are a few of the issues that come to mind. But, as stated before, for $100/night this is a fair choice.

For the price the hotel definitely met my expectations. Decent place to stay, location is convenient near the trolley. Pool and hot tub are clean and generally available without being crowded. Beds were comfortable, but they are really high someone elderly may struggle. Free coffee is actually really good. Didn’t realize for few days coffee is also served in the breakfast area does have real milk. The Peruvian restaurant near by is amazing!

The staff is friendly and kind. The room was beautiful and well cleaned. Breakfast was delicious. The hot tub was incredible after a long day of sightseeing. We would absolutely stay again.

The room was clean except for the shower curtain. There are no coffee pots in the room. The rooms are a good distance from the office, where the coffee is, and you have to go all the way to the office to get coffee…even if it’s pouring rain. That is not acceptable! Parking is not either. But the staff was very friendly. But having to pay $25 a day to park is ridiculous!!! We won’t be back.

This property is dirty and in need of a serious renovation. Paint missing, holes in the elevator, tiles cracked in bath…the list goes on and on. Would not recommend staying here. We would not return.

TLDR - Rude staff, FILTHY room — run away! Pay $30 bucks more for somewhere else. Check-in started at 4:00, we arrived at 4:30 and waited in line for 20 mins. When it was my turn, I was told there weren’t any rooms ready and there were people ahead of me in the queue. I asked how long it would be for a room and was told they couldn’t give me an estimate but would be phoned. I was allowed to park. We walked to SeaWitch for a drink and after wandering for about an hour and twenty minutes with no call, we returned. My husband waited in line. I was going to sit and wait, but the furniture in the foyer was absolutely filthy. When we were able to check-in, the young woman tried to charge me again for the room. There was no apology for the late check-in but somehow guests in front of us were offered free breakfast. After seeing the furniture in the foyer, I didn’t want to eat there anyway. 😥 The room was filthy. See photos. The bathroom had hairs in the corner. The shower glass was covered in soap scum. The floors, doors and walls were scuffed and grimy. The furniture and appliances was chipped and worn. The icing on the cake was that the toilet was not secured to the floor. My daughter said it was like sitting on a rocking chair, and she was not wrong. I desperately wanted to leave, but my family was exhausted from days of walking the French Quarter, and I didn’t buy the $3 cancellation insurance. Learned my lesson! Run away from here! So gross.

We were greeted in the lobby with 2 women sitting behind the desk. One ignored everybody, the other one was eating something and then spitting it into a cup and covering her mouth. unprofessional ! Every piece of furniture is stained.Apparently I had accidentally booked a handicap room. They did call me about an hour prior to check-in and ask if that was a mistake and I said yes so they said they were going to change me to a comparable room. When we checked in, we went in and saw that it was still the handicap room. Not a big deal, but they did not do what they said they were going to do. The room was extremely dark, and many lights were not plugged in. On our 2nd night my husband yelled out” oh my God I think I just saw a cockroach”. Sure enough, it was a large American cockroach about the size of a pinky. We killed it with a shoe and then left the shoes behind because we know they can carry a lot of eggs. I went up to the front desk and told them what happened and they did not offer a refund of any kind but only to switch my room. She said that the cockroaches come out of the drain out on the patio in a very nonchalant way. Almost like it happens all the time!They switched us to a different room, but I honestly can’t say I felt it was any cleaner than the last one. The hotel is much older and I feel like they just paint to cover up issues instead of fixing them. now we are home and have to deal with isolating all of our clothes, suitcases so we don’t get infested.

The property is in a good location to easily get around town as it's really close to public transportation. The pool and hot tub looked nice, we didn't get the chance to take advantage as we were out all day and didn't get back in until after 10pm each night. The pool closes at 10pm. The biggest issues I had with my stay were the shower and the bed in the room. The shower was a very slow low flow rain shower type shower head, it drives me insane to have to stand there for twenty minutes trying to rinse the soap off my body from the gentle rain shower. The second issue was the mattress, it's way too soft and worn in the center, so you always feel like you're being pulled into the center of the mattress to your doom. The pillows were amazing though, and the room was updated not too long ago. This place is a decent place to stay when visiting New Orleans.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. From the moment I walked into the room, it was clear that basic cleanliness and maintenance standards were not being met. The room was visibly dusty, which immediately made me question how well it had been cleaned prior to my arrival. The situation only got worse when I checked the bathroom. The door was broken and, more importantly, the lock did not work properly. This is a serious safety concern—guests should be able to feel secure and have privacy, and this room provided neither. What made this experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled by staff. When I raised these concerns, I was given the runaround instead of real solutions. There was a clear lack of empathy and urgency regarding the condition of the room and the safety issues we were dealing with, which only added to the stress of the situation. Overall, the condition of the room felt neglected and unacceptable for a paying guest. Between the lack of cleanliness, the broken and unsafe bathroom door, and the poor customer service, this stay did not meet even the most basic expectations. I would not recommend this hotel and strongly urge management to address these issues immediately.
