"Great staff but the hotel smells so musty it’s almost unbearable. One room had such a loud AC noise that made it hard to sleep. We had to stay until our house closing so it was what it was. Definitely not a vacation spot more of a transient stopover."

"The room was nice and clean, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and it was nice having the seating area out the back.
One thing. I wished that all the outside doors to enter into the building were by card key only, people staying there only with their room keys. The back entrance key pad did not work and was unlocked."

We were unable to use it the rest of our stay When I inquired at the desk when the pool would be open the clerk at the desk actually try telling me that the pool is usually closed during Hurricane Season. "Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked....

"Staff was patient and polite. However, everything else was awful. Room smelled bad, walls and furniture where stained and filthy. Pillows were old and gross. The shower curtain would't stay closed. The frig didn't work properly and the door was hard to open due to the unit being in a tray. The AC had a loud high pitched whine and the TV was out half my stay. The ice machine in the hall wasn't working. The parking lot was full of shady people hanging out in their cars and listening to loud music...
