The Guest House at Graceland

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay. There is so much to do you don't even have to leave the hotel. Movies, music, pb&j, swimming. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I use a walker and staff help at every place I went. A great place to stay when you go to see Elvis."

Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis

"The room was small but nicely appointed. Everything was very clean. There no work area. The area was nice and very close to Beale street. The hotels.com said they offered breakfast, they do not. The lounge was out of bud light, miller light, and a couple draft selections. The elevators have a “communications error” flashing the I’m told should just be ignored. The valet parking was laughably over whelmed so I just parked in a close public garage."

"This was a great hotel choice with friendly staff, clean rooms and nice amenities. The neighborhood felt safe and walkable. The rooftop pool with river view was refreshing. The free morning breakfast was very well done. We walked to the river front, Beale Street and other spots downtown."

The Westin Memphis Beale Street

"We screwed up and failed to book Sunday night, but hadn't noticed and left our stuff in the room. The Hotel had an opportunityto be amazing. However, they assumed we were trying to get over on them and treated us as such. The front desk lady called us at 3pm, and told us we were being charged for the night but we could get a better price through Expedia. We were at a museum 15 minutes away, and we told her we had planned on staying anyway. But it felt confrontational, and it sat poorly with us. We talked to the other desk person, and were told to contact the manager the next day. We made that phone call on Monday, and received a half-hearted apology and an explanation that this is a common occurrence in Memphis. While this isn't a horrible situation, it still could've been a great example of customer service. It's a shame it wasn't."
