Transportation was great, subway station is 2 minutes away by walking. La Guardia Airport transportation from and to the Roosevelt subway station is for free and takes about 15 minutes. I was asked to leave the room before the check out time with no reason. During the night some people talked really loud in front of my door. I think the price/service is balanced. It is not for everyone, if you are using the hostel just for sleeping is a good option.

The location for kamway lodge is its biggest selling point - located 5 minutes walk from a major subway interchange makes getting to downtown manhatten a breeze. The rooms, whilst not luxurious, have adequate space, supply good bedding, have an en suite (in the tripple room), a balcony and are kept very warm in the winter. Can highly recommend this place to people looking for a less expensive option but still get a lot out of their time in NYC.

Was cheap so I suppose you get what you pay for. Uncomfortable bed, very rude staff (most of whom don't speak English), and overall not very clean and somewhat smelly. Glad I only stayed there one night. This wasn't the hostel's fault to be fair, but also had terrible roommates, who were full on watching videos on their phones out loud making it very hard to sleep.

Ya había comentado, es económica y sencilla. Muy atentos todo el personal, espero mejoren las instalaciones. Calefacción perfecta, agua caliente, lencería impecable, zona muy comercial. Cerca del Metro. Puertas de acceso al hotel y habitación con código, internet excelente. Televisión excelente. Regresaré

I was DREADING coming here because of the comments... but thankfully because of it, I was hoping for the worst lol and I didn't see half as what I read. yes it is not the ABSOLUTE cleanest but we felt safe and we got our own room and nothing bad happened to us. loved that it was close to all transportation. you don't hear the train. the heat worked...like it was all good. don't expect hotel stuff, its a hostal, bring your own things, be prepared and go enjoy yourself! I would def come back because everything went well and you are barely in your room anyway :)

Le mail contenant les informations pour accéder à la chambre est arrivé tardivement et nous n'avions pas de réseau. Il n'y avait personne à l'accueil et personne n'a répondu à nos appels. Nous avons pu récupérer les informations par l'intermédiaire d'une personne qui connaissait l'hôtel.

It was really dirty room. Also on the entrance there was a guilty man picture. 3 months ago he was in the hotel around and he tried to come in and stolen something. It was really dangerous. And near to hospital because of that you can’t sleep always there are ambulance around. Terrible hotel. One more thing when we leaving we saw cockroach.

L'hôtel à éviter
En dehors du contact à l'arrivée pour régler la chambre, l'accueil de l'hôtel est inexistant. La chambre est très mal entretenue: sol collant, papiers par terre à notre arrivée. Le point positif de cette chambre est la possibilité d'accéder à une terrasse mais lors de notre séjour nous y avons trouvé des toilettes!!! Comment ont elles atterri là ? Nous avons aussitôt posé la question à l'accueil qui n'était pas au courant et qui n'a pris aucune disposition pour les enlever pendant nos deux jours. D'autre part , une affichette sur les paliers signale le passage régulier d'un cambrioleur dans l'hôtel . Ce qui n'est pas très rassurant! Malgré cela , nos deux nuits ont été plutôt calmes.

Bed was comfortable enough, shower was fine, location was close to a subway stop. Other than that... No elevator (heavy luggage would be an issue), no kitchen or utensils, windows didn't open. AC was provided, but there was nowhere to plug in both it and my travel adapter. Staff didn't seem to speak English.

Hostel was absolutely filthy. It's supposed to be no smoking, but the bottom floor smelled like an ashtray (this gets better the further up you go). Bedsheets are filled with small holes from where bugs have eaten through. Showers are covered in mold, insects everywhere. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

I was very satisfied with this hostel. The room was not very clean, noisy air conditioner, weak water pressure shower. I know a lot of people won’t like it. But I like here feeling like a secret base. And it’s 30 minutes to Manhattan.

Kamway lodge is reasonable for its price in a convenient area. My stay here was pretty convenient with hassle-free check-in. However, I hope the lodge could do better in terms of maintenance and cleaning. The hallway and my room has smells of marijuana residue and the AC, tables, the screen of the TV is covered with sticky substances. I have to wipe them myself and spray some Air Freshener to clear the odor. Overall a nice place stay for a short period but just sth to improve on. The cleaning staff I met is a Spanish speaker only, but she is so friendly and helpful. Kudos to her.

Checks lots of boxes.
Lots of room between the beds. You weren't on top of each other. Super clean and really nice bathroom. Close to shop, food carts, metro. You can get a free bus from laguardia airport.

If you really need to stay locally it may be okay
This was an airport stop over, so pleased we only spent 5 hours there. It felt like it needed doing up drastically and a good deep clean needed. The guy on the front desk was lovely though and went above and beyond what we expected

Das einzig gute an diesem Hotel ist seine Lage mit der Nähe zur U-Bahn, sowohl nach Manhattan wie auch JFK. Das Zimmer war äußerst spartanisch eingerichtet und völlig verdreckt. Kaputte Fensterscheiben mit Bast ersetzt, somit auch noch nächtlicher Lärm. Zimmertür schließt nicht richtig. Dusche wohl seit Monaten nicht gereinigt, gleiches gilt für den Fußboden und die wenigen klebrigen Möbel. Bett für 2 Personen viel zu klein. Die Bilder im Internet sind nur Fake. Insgesamt ein katastrophales Dreckloch zu einem völlig überzogenen Preis, mit nichts zu empfehlen
