The house and room were filthy. The owner was rude and could care less that the images in the description are a misrepresentation of what the conditions actually were. The toilet didn’t work and there was trash on the floor and she said that I’d have to “deal with it” because of the low price.

Do not go, not as advertised and no refund. It’s not a motel, it’s at best a shady airbnb. Look the address on street view to be sure.

The room was so terrible (rodent droppings) that we couldn't stay. The mouse/rat holes were actually stuffed with socks to try to stop the rodents from entering. Absolutely the worst, and the manager (danny) called me today and accused me of having my car parked there for 2 days. I explained that we didn't even stay the 1 night we had planned and I am already home 2 hours away. He then hung up. Stay far far away from this rodent infested place.

Warning, the description of this property is "urban" - not only does it feel like an old house in an unsafe neighborhood, the toilet seat was broken, bathroom window has a crack, and we found a mouse in our room. Could not stay the night. Moved out, landlord would not issue a refund.

If I could give 0 stars I will. Please, please read all the reviews before coming to this place. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We had a terrible experience from the first time we met at the door of this place. Everything seems to be a lie, the pictures posted are not the reality. I personally will contact Expedia to report this place, and the worst part is that you can’t even ask for refund due to policy. We had to spend extra money and time finding a place to stay for that night because we could not even sitting down on the bed, the sheets looked dirty and nasty without counting that the bathroom is shared and nasty as well. Pretty bad experience!!!!

1) people who are onsite helpers / housekeepers etc should be immediately fired! 2) the linens were extremely smelly, old and stained. had massive yellow stains all over it which is pretty disgusting considering the only thing it could be others dirty shots. 3) our shower had only a bottle and it was DISH SOAP! Isn’t it funny? Shower and dish soap? 4) Porch, hallways and top surfaces are wreck, full of filth and totally leaving a feeling of regret on anyone walking in 6) the closet with towels and sheets shows how sheets are kept in a massive insanity condition 7) lounge area’s couch are wreck. 8) The helpers are totally unfit to hospitality business. Two times one of them walked into my bedroom brought other guests! He was definitely stoned 10) toilet seat is totally broken. How could you rent a place with a broken toilet seat. 11) towels were full of hair before we use them. I was totally uncomfortable allowingk llmy face touching any pillows

We stayed here for two nights visiting NYC. We liked the price and proximity to Penn Station, and it was convenient to park in their driveway. FYI, this is a house that has been shoddily remodeled so every room can be rented. Care has not been taken to do the renovation properly - there are holes in the walls, the furniture is in disrepair, outlets are missing covers, the trim is missing pieces, flooring not put in properly, etc. In terms of amenities, our room had a bathroom with a very small shower, a queen-size bed, a closet, a TV, 2 nightstands, and working window AC unit. In a common area there's a large fridge, microwave, and shabby couch. We never received a key for our room. There is no front desk and you call to be let in when you arrive, which we understood beforehand & that worked fine the first night, but when we asked for a key we were given a lame excuse... meaning we weren't able to lock the room when we left the next day. Not very secure given that when we returned that evening, the front door was wide open! It wasn't grimy, but the bathroom floor and shower were covered in dried grout, and the ceiling above the shower had cobwebs. But the real nail in the coffin for us was that the floorboards were visibly crawling with dozens of ants. Look, we weren't expecting perfection from a property of this price and type, but for us this was not worth the savings. Next time we're in the area we'll probably spring for a legitimate cheap hotel.

오래됐지만 깨끗하고 편한 숙소

오래된 하우스였지만 침구도 깨끗하고 편했어요 오래된 나무 집이라 마루가 삐걱거리는 소음은 있었지만 큰 방해는 안됐어요 위치도 뉴왁 펜 스태이션과 가까워 nj transit 이나 path 를 타고 맨해튼에 쉽게 갈수 있었어요 20분 정도 열차를 타면 됩니다

Convenient and Comfortable

I had a very early event in NYC and required a place to lay my head for an early to bed/early to rise night sleep. Location was perfect for access to the train into NYC. This room was ideal for that purpose. I was checked in quickly, had off-street parking, and the room was supplied with all I needed. I slept well and was able to attend my event on time and refreshed. I would definitely stay again if a similar need arose.

My stay at Motel House was nice and quiet. It did exactly what I needed it to do, which was provide an affordable, secure place to lay my head for the night.
