This property is a 1 minute walk to watch the horses train each morning. Its is a 5 minute walk to high street. We stayed here 20 years ago as well, so good to be back. If you want to visit Newmarket, this is a wonderful place to stay!

Great location - right off of High Street. Staff are super nice and there is a full-time reception desk, unlike some other hotels in the area.

Nice overnight stay
The staff were excellent. Good value for money. Room was fine and breakfast was good. Good location for the town centre and no problems with parking. Will stay again.

not great but was friendly.
bedroom small, window faced out to a corridor so had to keep certain closed for privacy in the room so no daylight. Pillows very hard, bed old and back board banged against wall as it was very lose when i tried to move round in bed. Generator running all night, walls very thin so could here every noise, didn't get much sleep. Staff are friendly though and room was clean :-)

A good seventies style stay
AThis hotel is a real throw back to the seventies. Comfortable but functional rather luxurious. The lounge/bar decor and exterior is straight out of the seventies. Air conditioning, that worked! Was a plus. Service was great and probably the best breakfast Ive had in a long time

Just a one night stay but ok. Disappointed with breakfast. By 8.30 there were no pastries left, only 2 slices of bread for toasting and no butters. Had to ask for more. Bar prices very expensive, Two glasses of wine £17. Not somewhere to spend an evening at those prices.

A little gem
Dont usually stay here but it was a late booking. Well gobsmacked!!!! Huge bedroom sofa big window fridge and safe. The staff were lovely 😍 breakfast was amazing and only a few yards from the gallops. Liked it so much booked for another weekend break.xx

Cheerful, helpful staff.
Easy to find, convenient for the local town. Very clean, good facilities. Had the opportunity to eat at the hotel the food was very good with the bar staffed with cheerful, efficient staff. Breakfast was good. Relaxing stay I would happily stay here again

Friendly staff. Property is time worn but still clean and functional. Restaurant is very nice; good menu selection and service. Located just off center of town; walkable to many local pubs. Rooms are small and utilitarian.

Lovely short stay
Really enjoyed our one night stay. The lady on reception was nice and helpful. We only had a standard room, but it was adequate for our needs. Bed and pillows comfortable; ample tea, coffee and biscuits; bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower, plenty of shampoo and body wash etc. Breakfast the next day was very good, fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheese and meats, toast and then a choice of what you wanted cooked, which was done fresh and not as a buffet. Staff at breakfast were also very nice. On site parking and a 5 minute walk in to town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Very nice and will definitely return. Thank you.

Great location. Nice and helpful staff. Very good restaurant and room service available. The rooms are a bit utilitarian, but they actually have everything that you need and are very comfortable. The location right off of High Street is excellent and helps make this hotel very good value for the money.

Hotel rooms have had a refresh since my last stay. Air Con is superb… very quiet. Blinds in bathroom are an odd choice. Not easy to adjust.
