"While in our first room, my son discovered a used condom in the corner of the room that had clearly been missed during housekeeping. Unfortunately, he touched it before realizing what it was. As you can imagine, this was extremely disturbing and inappropriate, especially for a child, and it created a very uncomfortable situation for our family. It also sparked conversations we were not prepared to have with our impressionable son.
Although the staff did move us to another room, the “upgrade” did not appear meaningfully different from our original accommodations. We were also surprised to then be charged an additional $30 for a cot for my son to sleep on after the inconvenience and distress caused by this incident.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but this situation reflects a serious lapse in cleanliness standards and significantly impacted our stay.
We have stayed here multiple times and really felt displeased with this last experience.
