It was a good place all around. Close and walkable. There were no cups to drink hot tea, no coffee in mornings. No coffee maker. Nice but not a place with nicer soaps and such. The place they provided coupons for weekend bfast didn’t open until 9 am. On a bus trip some early am coffee would have made work a little less of a struggle. It got the job done.

Probably one of my most favorite hotel experiences! The hotel/room is so charming and excellent location. They included drink vouchers and breakfast vouchers to a local restaurant down the street. Most definitely will stay here every chance we get!

Beware! Half the rooms in this hotel share a single bathroom and that was not at all clear on the listing. We have medical conditions that require easy bathroom access and had no idea our room wouldn’t have a bathroom. Further the house was incredibly loud and we heard other people all night. It’s very cute and I’m sure one of the ensuite rooms would have been great, but the host was completely inflexible when we told her we couldn’t stay in a room without a bathroom and we had to book another hotel for the weekend.

The window A/C unit was difficult to sleep through, but the innkeeper was attentive and helpful, providing a large circulating fan to keep us comfortable. Room was quiet, sufficient for our stay, and walkable to all of the beauty of Newport. The complimentary weekend breakfast at their restaurant was excellent! Would stay here again. :-)

No coffee in the downstairs in the am. The 2 restaurants they own were closed for breakfast 2 of the days we were in town. This is not a B and B. Would have stayed else where. No place to sit outside.

I didn’t pay attention to the details where it says that for some rooms the bathroom is separate, since I never experienced that. It was very inconvenient. The building is very old, I think a bit overpriced for what they offer. Breakfast is served only on weekends. There pas a parking lot for each room though, which is nice

Clean and comfortable!

Very clean and comfortable. Pretty room. My husband doesn't usually like staying in small inns. This trip may have changed his mind. Location was exactly what we wanted--a nice neighborhood, close to nice restaurants. And onsite parking.

Coffee was not available anywhere on the property, which was surprising. Apparently there was tea but no cups or saucers to be found. We stayed in the loft, which shares a bathroom among 4 rooms. There were no towels when it was my turn - no washcloths or hand towels either. None stored anywhere in the bathroom. I got a response an hour later from the host. Breakfast was limited to only Sat and Sun at different locations that opened at 9 and 10am so early birds were out of luck. The room was small dimly lite and loud. The air conditioner is old and inefficient. I would not stay again.

The Chart house is located in a wonderful historic residential district. Great eateries and shopping are easy and safe to walk to. The room and bathroom were very clean. Nice place to be.

This was a lovely place to stay in Newport. It was an excellent value, with a recently redecorated room and small but fine en suite bathroom. The host was welcoming and the coupons for breakfast and drinks at the Inn’s owners restaurants in town made it an even more special. That parking was included enhanced the value, given the cost to park in this central location. I’d definitely come back next time I am in town.

Ok, would not stay in Lizzy Room in summer again

The accommodations were ok, we were in the Lizzy room which should be noted is on the third floor and shared bathroom. The AC unit is right in top of a bed pillow which is not ideal. Sharing bathroom was fine but the other guests had no concept of a shower floor mat and left the floors soaked and slippery with water the 1st day and the shower mat soaked over the shower edge the second night. The common area had a water jug with glasses but in the 2 nights we staid there, no one attended the station and you could not tell if glasses were clean or not. Also while they do not offer breakfast during the week, they also do not offer coffee. There was tray with limited teas but no cups. The onsite parking was convenient but no one for a busy summer week (all parking spaces full) was attending to the property.

Nicole was extremely welcoming and kind, room was exceptionally clean. Lovely place. Was extremely close to all Newport Waterfront spots.

Unfortunately the bed was so uncomfortable it really made it hard to sleep at all and impeded the enjoyment of our trip. The space was beautiful and quaint but to pay that high of a price and to be so uncomfortable was a bit of a bummer. We absolutely understand you can’t cater to the comfort of every guest, but the bed full on slumped in the middle if two people were in it. And additionally, while the area is amazing and nice and quiet, the other guests in the inn were consistently very loud with lots of slamming doors, which again to be expected in a smaller place. I just think the price in combo with the comfort was not aligned.

We had the Ida Lewis Room which was awesome. Tons of light and space to enjoy our stay. The bed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable and great quality. The bathroom huge. Loved the decoration and attention to details. The location was perfect for us since it is in the middle of everything there is to see but yet in a quiet and lovely neighborhood with historical houses. Restaurants, bay, Thames Street, mansions and hikes are all at walking distance. Having your own parking space is also a plus. Would definitely stay here again!! Thank you Nicole for making our trip to Newport be unforgettable

The property is in a prime location, and we found it very easy to walk to all of our favorite spots. We absolutely loved our room (we were in the Jane Pickens) and found it very spacious. Check-in was easy and Nicole was very helpful. Honestly, I never write reviews, but I couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary weekend. I will absolutely be staying here again.
