"All the staff were welcoming and very helpful: top marks, as was the food/drink offerings and opportunity to pre-book on-site parking.
The lingering musty carpet smell throughout was off-putting and the window openings in our room were limited (probably for safety reasons), but this meant the ledges and tops of the windows (and the curtain rail) were blackened with dust and grime - not a pretty outlook for guests.
I appreciate that this aspect of room cleaning could not be undertaken by the daily cleaning crew, but couldn't the maintainence team undertake a schedule of unlocking the windows in say, 5 or more vacant rooms a day to enable all the windows and curtain rails to be cleaned properly (and carpets) until the jobs were completed. Give them a bonus if the jobs are completed satisfactorily and ahead of schedule.
I am not a moaner, just giving honest feed back as requested."
"Great location, great price and really friendly staff. It could be cleaner I.e skirting boards, carpets and cups in the room.
We still really enjoyed it"
"I had researched The Plume of Feathers as a wedding anniversary destination, so thought I knew what to expect. The reality was even better! We were given an upgrade to a Luxury Room and it was superb. Clean, very well furnished and spacious. I highly recommend it if your budget allows. We had breakfast and evening meals at The Plume and the food was great every time (the Full English was especially of high quality). Every member of staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I can't speak highly enough of them. Being in a central location, The Plume is an excellent base to explore Cornwall and is just off the A30. Overall I can't fault the quality and service we received at The Plume, I thoroughly recommend it."
"Everything from start to finish was perfect
We were greeted by friendly and ready to help staff members at the reception, nothing was too much trouble for them. Then we had a lovely spa treatment which helped us relax after a busy week. The hotel design and feel is very beautiful, the food was super delicious, the best calamari we ever had. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It definitely left a memory in our hearts, all the staff members made us feel very welcome and cared for. Strongly recommend and we will definitely come back!"
"Had a great extended weekend stay at Porth lodge! In a great location with the beach just a short walk away and Newquay within walking distance it's perfectly tucked away. The staff were very lovely and helpful and the breakfast made to order everything was a highlight. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and homely stay"
