Room has air-con, TV and a shower. Basics covered for the price you pay. Bed is as hard a rock, but better than the pavement on the street. 'Cleaning' of the room would be considered as cleaning the waste bin from last guest. Bathroom was filthy. For the price what do you expect? Other cheap SE Asia hotels for the price are much better. But that's not the best part..
What they don't tell you whilst checking-in is that the hotel closes at around 11pm due to the reception area sharing space with a travel agency booth. There is a a buzzer/doorbell on the front of the building that is meant to alert a watchmen to come and open up. After a nice dinner and few drinks I returned at 11:45pm. After pushing the bell for nearly an hour, I literally nearly ripped the steel gates off their fixings as no one came. I was stranded on the streets till 7am returning periodically to wake the 'watchman'. Wandering the back streets at this time of night (being alone) is not for the feint hearted, let me tell you.
