We booked a boat tour though anywherecostarica.com along the Río Frío in the Caño Negro wildlife area. Absolutely worth it! They pick you up right at your hotel, take you to the boat, spend a couple hours on the river spotting wildlife, provide lunch and drop you back off at your hotel.
In Matagalpa, we helped rebuild a house for a family of nine using natural rock slabs from the surrounding mountains.
I took a guided hike down the somoto canyon in Nicaragua some part of the hike you had to float the river with a life vest and jump off a few cliffs! What an adrenaline rush this hike was. #Adventure
