"I couldn't physically make it to my hotel due to things out of my control. I contacted them as soon as I was able. I booked two nights. They refused even a partial refund for the second night. Took my money and I never set foot through the door. I understand the first night but the second is a joke. Avoid."
"i did not like that when I would like to get a cup of coffee, there was never any clean coffee cups. Also, it was snowing while we were up there and nobody bothered to feed the fireplace in the lobby."
"This hotel was just average.
The hotel is outdated.
The tiolet jiggle and was unstable.
Breakfast horrible, waffle maker wouldn't cook properly, coffee awful.
It was an ok stay gor what it was. Staff was friendly.
Hot water worked GREAT!"
"Very rustic. What they don’t tell you is they run completely off grid. Electricity is so so no hot water. Mattress needed replaced many years ago. No AC or working heat, WiFi was iffy but worked most of the time. Whole place is run down and tired. Severely scratched annd broken furniture, old worn blankets etc Only food available is the pizza and it was just ok. The breakfast was good. Staff all seemed new. The linen order hadnt arrived when we were checking in and they didn’t know when it would. Other staff I asked questioned from both stated they didn’t know they were “new” for the price they charge seems ridiculous. we left a day early and wouldn’t stay again."
"The rooms did not have a microwave, tv or coffee maker, just a hot pot for water. The water did not get that hot and the WiFi was a bit difficult to get."
"We stayed in one of the barn banks with a shared bathroom. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was just a few yards away. Restaurant was also yummy and you can pay an extra $10 to use the kitchen and laundry area. Definitely worth the price we paid and a good home base for Kings Canyon National Park."
"It is the worst place I’ve ever stayed and wasn’t cheap either. Staff wasn’t friendly. We checked in at 5 and they gave us a room that was completely dirty and hadn’t been cleaned when I complained they just said sorry no offer to move our stuff or even offer us free coffee. Of course they don’t have to do anything because there are no other lodges nearby."
