"I got what I paid for: it was cheap, and the experience fair but unpleasant for a hostel. My bunk mates did not follow some of house rules set by Freehand which made rooming with those folk’s difficult. I complained to the front desk, and yet nothing was done. Ultimately, I checkout early on my last night rather than try (and fail to sleep) for another night in a row. I spent that night reading in the nearby Subway restaurant and at Union Station which proved more relaxing than the room I paid for."

"My friend was given a very small room and never got room service. Also, we want adjoining rooms, which they could not give us but put us on the same floor as far apart as was possible. I had requested the adjoining rooms with Expedia long before we arrived. Obviously, you have no clout with them. Bottom line. I would never stay there again."

"Room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was amazing if a little chaotic because the hotel is large and serves many people who won’t miss breakfast bc it is really quite good for a hotel buffet breakfast. But the Wi-Fi was unsecure on my laptop and TV is either basic channels or connect with your own streaming services via their app. I encountered several rounds of tech difficulties, so flipped through bad TV and didn’t use the Wi-Fi. These are major drawbacks. But I was in town for work and not at the hotel much and otherwise the basics were great. One major complaint is the use of fragrance throughout the hotel which really exacerbates serious headaches for me. Please stop doing this. I probably won’t return for this reason alone"
