"We always love staying here with our dogs when we visit Carmel. It’s a great place to stay! We got a balcony this time and our dogs loved it! "The "breakfast" was not as pictured. No waffle makers, space was VERY limited, area was dirty. Don't get me wrong, I like Svenhard's pre-packaged rolls, but that doesn't make for breakfast in my book. Was thinking when we booked, ok, one night, Super 8, good enough. Yeah, no, not really good enough. the old girl REALLY showed her age. The cleaning staff may be trying to make it better, but the old gal could just really use an update. And for THAT price, should have been WAY better."

"Very nice hotel close to main Monterey activities such as Aquarium or Fisherman's Wharf. Spacious rooms with a fireplace, comfy beds, large TV with casting and lots of channels, excellent shower. Full hot breakfast well exceeded our expectations - their quiches and links were really good! Add complimentary wine and cheese tasting during happy hour as a cherry on top. Not the cheapest accommodation there and parking is not free, but still well worth it!"
