Nugget Casino Resort

"I would not recommend staying here more than a day or two. You have to consistently call the housekeeping line to request your room to be cleaned or want new towels. There's no microwave and the hotel controls your temperature. There is a thermostat in the room you can use but we had both of our rooms set at 55 and it was a till warm. I request to change rooms to see if it helped but that room was warm too. We ended up opening the windows to let cold air in. When I checked out the young lady refunded me 1 day for the 7 days I stayed but I have yet to see the credit. I will no longer book my stay here when I come to Reno."

"Definitely needs to be updated and needs proper maintenance. The bathroom especially needed more effort with cleanliness. On our last day there was a cockroach in the room. Will not be staying there again."

"Did not have any amenities for me to use and the staff was not able to upgrade my room due to full reservations. So any leftovers has to be taken out the next day knowing had no fridge for me to use even a microwave to re heat my food."

"Cold front came through while we were there so we enjoyed the hot tub out at the pool area one evening. The property was very clean. Enjoyed our meals. The Ember Suite was great. No complaints."

"I had to ask for the coffee to be restocked and the trash emptied. Getting to our room was a choir. Had to walk through a smoke filled casino with luggage, ice chest, and other travel items. Only one elevator, our room was at the opposite end from the elevator. Parking was not convenient. We ate at the restaurant on site and it was a nice breakfast."

"This used to be the Old Sands Casino. They have completely updated it as J Resort. Great Casino, good eating spots and close to everything the Casino district. Friendly and helpful staff, super clean, great rooms with large, comfortable beds. You'll enjoy your stay here."
