"We only stayed the one night as a stop over on a long leg of our Deep South road trip. The property was fine but out of the half a dozen Holiday Inn Express we are staying in this one didn’t just hold a deposit for extras. It actually took $20 which apparently it repays on departure. Several days on I still haven’t seen it return to my credit card. But what I don’t get is why it has to operate differently from its fellow hotels and any other on our trip and actually take a payment. Maybe IHG can speak to them and stop such a practice."
