"Surprisingly quiet despite being on the main road. The room was a decent size; shower-over bath but it worked. Unfortunately we were without hot water for 2/4 days, a problem that only affected some of the rooms but we were told they were working on it. The staff were helpful and professional, staff in the restaurant were very efficient; cannot fault them. If you eat a full range of food you’ll be OK but the choice for vegans was super-limited. "Don’t let the construction outside fool you. The inside of the hotel is so nice. We stayed here twice, once for one night and another time for two. The first night we stayed in one of the business class rooms on the top floor. It was especially quiet with separating doors between the hallway, bathroom, and sleeping areas. The air conditioning was great and the hotel is very close to the train station. It is about a 20 minute walk to the altstadt, but we didn’t mind since that’s where we spent...

When I was placed in multiple rooms with problems (marks on the walls and badly damaged surfaces, then a room with a very moldy smelling bathroom), the front desk staff was very apologetic and immediately found me another room. The property is not the best maintained (lots of scratches and dings on the walls and some grout in need of refurbishment) but the hotel is very clean and spacious.
