"First of all, the check in process was very slow, I do under stand it’s the holiday in China, but I moved from another hotel to this one but the first hotel I was at, the check in process were much faster. "breakfast here is. really really good. wide selection and tasty rooms were slightly dated looking, but still pretty good staff was mostly good but not so interactive (maybe didnt want to engage in english too much). cleaning staff was a bit aggressive though, kept wanting to take my towels and replace stuff etc even thogugh I had the DND sign on and generally do not really want my room entered during my stay. I think they at least waited until i was in my room before trying to see if they could do some cleaning and didnt do it in my absence. Maybe they're on some kind of quota? closest to xinjiekou station, though it takes about 10mins walk to get there"

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. Shuguang Hotel is situated next to Xuanwu Lake, offering views of Nanjing's towering skyline through the windows; the night view is quite beautiful. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from the subway station and Nanjing Railway Station. Although the architectural style feels a bit dated, the guest rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable, featuring clean, fresh bedding. Soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet environment, though the sound of street traffic can occasionally be heard in the early morning. The buffet breakfast is delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes with a menu that changes daily. I particularly appreciate the complimentary self-service laundry facilities, which are clean and well-equipped. The lobby reception staff are well-trained, and the housekeeping team is professional and courteous; the breakfast staff and chefs are also enthusiastic, proactive, and friendly."
