"This is the 3rd time I stay at Hotel Royer! The hotel is really nice and the staff is absolutely amazing. From the front desk to the restaurant and the kitchen staff, the service is absolutely incredible. The location is great it is at walking distance from everything. The room was comfortable with a view. I could see the sunrise in the morning and the moonlight when I was sleeping. I really appreciated that the kitchen gave me ice packs to keep cold some local produce that I wanted to bring back home. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious and everything is made from scratch in the kitchen, there are no shortcuts. The front desk are always smiling and willing to help. I was able to check in early and they granted me a free extra hour for late checkout. I highly recommend this hotel. I will stay there again next year.!"

"Check in was challenging bc they have a small window and it coincided with the football game. Our tv in our room was also not working, which was also disappointing. Otherwise, everything else was great. I always try and book here if it's available."

"10 minutes' drive to University of Illinois Champaign campus. Went on a sold-out football day. Parking garage was double ($30 vs. $15 due to the football game). Was able to leave and return to the parking lot without additional cost. Walkable to lots of restaurants and cafes."

"Very close to the University of Illinois Champaign campus, big advantage. (Went to visit my child who is going to school there. Stayed one night.) Free parking was a plus. The free breakfast was good, not expectational. (The breakfast burrito was not that flavorful.) Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Had a good night sleep. This was my second stay at the hotel. Will stay here again."

"Good deal on a clean comfortable bed and hot shower. Otherwise room is relatively spartan but TV and A/C worked fine. Staff is helpful and seems to care that you are happy. Coffee in lobby in morning (Styrofoam cups need to go IMO), vending machines with a few snacks and drinks. When front desk is not staffed you get a motion-detecting "live remote clerk in a box" that was a bit unnerving in that it starts talking to you and captures your face image along with other info, Box person can process tasks like check-in and spit out the room key, although mine would not work so the local person who showed me to the room got that fixed pronto. All in all it was a good deal for me and I would stay there again."
