The motel was close on proximity to where we were planning to spend a couple days. The property/room is DATED... staff was super friendly and helpful. The refrigerator was iced up and hardly worked. Average stay, and fairly expensive for what was provided.

Poor facilities compared to other motels. Reception staff very abrupt. Room under stairway was noisey with early morning guests waking us before 6am. No parking outside due to stairway so had to park outside someone’s else’s unit. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom door didn’t close without force and shower door was obstructed by doorway. No bathroom extraction for steam.

Give this a miss.

We booked for a family of 3. The room was very dated and had an over powering smell of cheap air freshener that lingered all night- it was very uncomfortable. The mattresses were extremely worn. The shower was leaking. We were provided with 2 towels for 3 people - they gave us an extra when asked. There was only one mug in the room and 2 glasses. Considering we checked in late - they should have had all the time to prep the room. The Motel is the worst I have stayed in over my 2 weeks holiday in NZ and yet it was one of the most expensive. Not worth it and I wouldn’t be coming back.

For a Superior room booking it wasn't worth the room rate. Only two towels for three persons. Likewise, only two chairs despite the booking made for three. No cutlery. Carpet was dirty.

Stuck in the 70’s

The name sounds nice, and it is the only Hotel around of this size in that area, but man is it stuck in the 1970’s! You think they would’ve refurbished it by now and got in to the 2000’s lol. Reception was closed when we got there and had to go to bar to check-in, but had to wait for 3 people to be served drinks 1st.

A very expensive and outdated property. We wouldn't stay again. Rooms, although spacious, are from another era and need a complete overhaul. Very uncomfortable beds with saggy mattresses and when my child was playing they pushed one aside and it was apparent the carpet hadn't been vacuumed under there for an age. No shower curtains in bathroom so water just spills all over the floor making it very slippery. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. It's just a shame that the hotel isn't up to scratch.
