"Checking into the hotel we are very excited. It seemed very, very nice, but as we walked down the hallway to our room, there was a distinctive pet odor. We checked into our room and unfortunately it smelt like dog and carpet cleaner. We had to sleep with the window open all night and no AC because the smell was coming out of the AC. We thought about asking for a new room, but by the time we got back from the aquarium, it was already almost 9 o’clock and felt like it would be too much trouble to...

"It was a great location, with our back door opening right onto the ocean. Perfect for walking on the beach or watching a sunset. It’s a 1947 property so don’t expect much from the room. Staff were great and room was clean."

"This motel was wonderful! We had a view of the ocean through a large picture window, and a beautiful trail to walk next to the ocean and its crashing waves over the rocks. My only critique is that dogs are allowed, and on our last night there were two snarling barking dogs next to us who disrupted our night of peace."

"Ver minimal hotel, don’t expect a lot of amenities. There wasn’t even filtered water or any source for water on the property, only a sink in the main office breakfast area. The bed was not very comfortable but the shower had good water pressure. It was a quiet hotel, okay stay but don’t expect a lot out of it."

"Wonderful property and location. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The balcony with bay view was the best part. We had dinner and morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the marina. We also had a perfect view of 4th of July fireworks. We look forward to staying here again."

"A motel is a motel, so we did not expect too much. The room looked old and worn, and it really needs some repair. For some reason the washbasins were in the sleeping area next to the beds, not in the bathroom, which felt strange. In the bathroom there was no shampoo, only a bar of soap, so it is better to bring your own. There was also no breakfast at the hotel. All of this is more or less normal for a motel, but the price was very high for what you get."

"The room was great! Recently reno'd, nice and clean, bright, very comfortable. The only complaint was that there was no coffee maker for the morning, and the soundproofing wasn't fantastic... At the end of the day definitely not deal-breakers. Would 100% recommend this place!"

"I would not recommend this hotel. The room had a very strong musty smell. When we checked in, no one was in the office and we had to wait quite a while before someone showed up. When we tried to check out at 6:30 the office was locked and no one was there. The breakfast consisted of apples and coffee and it didn’t even start until 7:30. If there was an ice machine, we couldn’t find it. Well, the room was relatively clean, there were rusty air vents, and it looked a little dingy."
