"Great property with a good restaurant on site"

"Donna was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved her. The property is very quaint. The room was wonderful except…The only problem that I had was when I got to my room and I am packed all my stuff. There was an ant problem at the bathroom sink, I went and told Donna she brought some spray which I’m totally fine with and I sprayed the area. Then after she left, I realized there was a whole bunch of ants. I mean a huge amount of ants on the shelf above the microwave in the sugar packets had an ant experience in my own home. I understand that happens, but there were so many ants for just the overnight process I was there. It was terrible. "

"Well, first when I got there to check in the attendant was “on a break“ then the next morning when I went to the desk because I didn’t have a tag for no maid service for the door he was “on a break” then when I went to check out, he was “on a break“, his name was Norman and he was pleasant enough, but he was never available three times in a two day stay was a bit ridiculous. Also the floor was very dirty. And then there was a cockroach in the bathroom, I understand that Ridgecrest is the desert and there’s going to be bugs. I understand that, but in all the times I’ve ever stayed in a hotel in Ridgecrest, which a couple of years ago was a lot when I was visiting, but I never had a bug problem. I was highly disappointed in this Clarion establishment."

"A hidden gem! It’s now under new management and the manager was warm, friendly and very helpful. Gorgeous drive in through mountain roads. The property is small with rooms in the main house and cabin. We stayed in the cabin and it had a clawfoot bathtub and private deck! You can walk to the nearby river and there are lots of places to sit and read, meditate, etc. The menu is all vegetarian/vegan and they served us in our room. Yummy veggie curry and “chik’n” burger! There’s also complimentary continental breakfast (toast, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt). This was a wonderful relaxing place and I wish I’d booked more than 1 night. Lots of nearby hikes like the Trail of 100 Giants. Oh we also came in a Tesla and while they don’t have on-site charging, I can report that the drive is doable from the McFarland Supercharger (at 100%) and back."

"Had reserved the River facing room, plans changed and had to rebook and got a kitchenette. It was perfect. They could use a few more forks and spoons, but that’s all. Bed slept great and loved being up high watching the Ravens and woodpeckers. Like a tree house. #102 oh and the staff were all excellent!"

"Bruce was cool ass hell! Helpful any questions we had even recommendations he truly enjoys his job there and takes care of the place and needs definitely going back!!!"
