"Beautiful views and lovely book themed rooms. I got really good book recommendations from the books they put in my room. I could see the lighthouse and the beach from my north facing room. It also had a nice balcony on the first floor. The only things to consider are lack of elevators, air conditioning and mini fridge in the room. "

"I loved it. The king suite with jetted tub is amazing. Only thin? Deadbolt should be higher up on the door. My little escape artists having that ease of unlocking access was a bit nerve wracking."

"We had a room on the back side and it had no street noise at all! The bed was quite comfortable, though the sheets were beginning to show wear. The heater/cooler was too loud for sleeping, but was needed because of the humidity on the weekend we were there. The refrigerator was in need of a defrost so ran more than necessary, but we were glad that it worked. Overall, we felt the hotel was very nice, clean, and fairly reasonably priced. And we enjoyed the breakfasts!"

"Super nice BIG room, property is like new, beautiful view and access to beach (and for hikers) it’s next to the the Ocean to Bay hiking trail! I DONT recommend the restaurant for dinner, it’s a bit overpriced. For the same money check out LOCAL OCEAN SEAFOOD in the old bay district- perhaps the best meal I’ve ever had. For convenience there is a Walmart literally over the hill from the hotel."

"Staff was always helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. Liked the fire pit and access to beach. The cookies and chowder were a nice touch. Balcony and the wet bar with fridge was a plus! Hard to find areas to improve. The windows around fire pit had quite a bit of seagull poo. However, I get that it is the coast so keeping glass clean is tough and a constant chore for sure. Overall. Great stay and we will very likely be back again this year. "

"The room was clean, bed comfortable, and noise from outside and adjoining rooms minimal. The air conditioner was quiet, the refrigerator even kept things frozen in the freezing compartment. The microwave worked, though controls were confusing. The TV worked well, but channel selection poorly documented. WiFi was easily accessed The "free" breakfast was good, by usual motel standards, with scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, and juice. The coffee was brown and hot, but bland. Room...

"The Newport Belle was a refurbished paddle boat. It is so well done that the pictures don’t do it justice. Our room was darling and spotless. The owner made our breakfast and the food was very good and he was friendly and attentive. Brandon, the caretaker, went above and beyond. We loved our stay!"
