The distance to restaurants stores and Disney was great, the cleanliness of the hotel was another ISSUE. Our first room had an odor coming from the freezer that they “fixed” by cleaning it of course that did nothing. We opened the pull out bed only to find it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest. We get up the next day and of course the odor from the freezer is back. By this time we asked to be moved. The second room seemed clean until again we go to open the pull out and it hadn’t been cleaned either. The staff we encountered seemed like they could care less, until check out we had a very pleasant young lady who assisted us.

The hotel itself was fine, but the service was disappointing. At check-in, no one explained the housekeeping schedule. When we needed pillows and linens for the pull-out bed, it took three requests and about 3½ hours before they were delivered. After spending the entire day at SeaWorld, we returned to find our room hadn't been cleaned and there were no fresh towels or washcloths, so we had to request those as well. The next day, I scheduled housekeeping for 10:00 a.m., but when we left at 2:00 p.m., the room still hadn't been serviced. It wasn't cleaned until sometime before we returned around 8:30 p.m. While the staff eventually addressed each issue, having to repeatedly follow up during a vacation was frustrating. I hope the hotel improves its communication about housekeeping and its responsiveness to guest requests.

All of the hotel amenities turned out great and I will go back. I had a palmetto bug each night in the kitchen area. The bug thing was an issue for me. Other then that, everything was very nice. I think I should not stay on first floor. The hot tub was hot, the jets were too low. The pool water was very nice and comfortable.

The best part of our stay was the blackout curtains. Unfortunately, the room had a strong chemical odor, and despite the recent renovation, the bathtub clearly hadn’t been updated. Our biggest disappointment was the service. We reserved a room with a king bed and sleeper sofa for three adults, yet no bedding was provided for the sleeper sofa. We didn’t discover this until returning around 10:00 p.m. after a full day out. We called the front desk and were first told to pick up the bedding ourselves. As we were all already in pajamas, I asked if it could be brought to our room. After waiting nearly 40 minutes, I went downstairs, only to be told it was already being delivered — which it wasn’t. After another trip to the front desk, we were told that since COVID they no longer leave bedding in rooms and guests must request it upon arrival. When I pointed out that our reservation was clearly for three adults, I was told that the person checking us in must have assumed we’d all share the king bed. At 11:20 p.m. — nearly 90 minutes after our first request and after we’d already gone to bed — the bedding finally arrived. This entire situation was avoidable. If a room is booked for three adults and it includes a sleeper sofa, the bedding should already be in the room OR the guest should be asked at check-in whether they’ll need it.
