"We only stayed one night and it was disappointing. They do not stock kettles in rooms, but told us we could boil water in a pot for tea. The pull out sofa was so bad that one of our children slept on the floor on a camping mat and we had and another child put a sheet on the sofa as is and slept there. "Great well lit parking and nice desk staff. Bathroom floor has a build up of dirt in corners especially beside toilet. Carpets are worn dark grey prompting us to search for bed bugs but found none on the old mattresses. Blankets have cigarette burn holes. Bedding and towels seemed clean. "

"Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. "
