Omu Axiu is exactly what we needed to get the feel of Sardinia. After how busy Cagliari was and even Costa Sud, it was a dream to get to the hotel and homestead. Monika and Claudia made us feel so welcome and fed us like royalty for dinner and breakfast. very rustic atmosphere which is what we were looking for.

Monica und ihre Mädels bieten ihren Gästen eine unvergessliche und sehr schöne Unterkunft. Das Abendessen in der Unterkunft war reichlich und sehr zu empfehlen. Es wurde typisch sardisch aufgetischt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Omu Axiu!

Una splendida esperienza nuragica

Il villaggio di Orroli è strategico per visitare i siti di maggiore interesse e l’alto piano della Giara coi suoi eleganti cavallino, il ristorante museo è favoloso, con un ulivo millenario che domina il cortile. Abbiamo dormito in un appartamento con dei graziosi e discreti vicini di casa, un nodo di rondini. Colazione top e cena luculliana, vino fantastico! Grazie

Fijn verblijf voor één nacht. Onthaal zeer vriendelijk. Probeerden met al onze wensen rekening te houden. Eenvoudige kamers, maar met alles wat je verwacht voor 1 nacht. TV niet aanwezig, maar voor ons geen probleem. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid met huisgemaakte yoghurt, jam, .... ook kregen we roereitjes. In het bijhorend museum kregen we een zeer gepassioneerde uitleg over het leven van de landbouwers jaren geleden. Een aanrader is om het degustatie avondmaal te kiezen met aangepaste wijnen voor 30 euro, waardoor je kennis maakt met de eetcultuur van de plaatselijke bevolking: pecorino kaas, pasta’s, everzwijn ... en hun canonau en vermentino. Wij genoten in elk geval van ins verblijf.

Ritornato dopo parecchi anni, l’hotel risulta abbastanza trascurato. Per ritornare al vecchio splendore(quando c’era la Signora) e’ necessario un deciso cambio di rotta!

Historisches Gästezimmer

Die Erreichbarkeit war sehr kompliziert und schwierig- die Verständigung mit der Dame aufgrund keinerlei Englischkenntnisse ebenso kompliziert. Es erwartet Sie ein historisches Bauernhaus im Museum (dort wird auch gegessen). Die Gästezimmer liegen etwa 300 Meter in einer anderen Straße entfernt. Dort ist ein spartanisch eingerichtetes Zimmer mit renovierungsbedürftigem Badezimmer.. Die Entfernung zum Meer ist aufgrund der Straßenlage ca. 1 Stunde.

Maak kennis met het echte Sardinie en slaap hier!

Fijne plek, waar echt naar je omgekeken wordt. Net ontbijt, zeker naar Italiaanse normen is het hier zeer uitgebreid. Prima diner met lokale specialiteiten is terplekke mogelijk. Fijn als het je eerste nacht is na je vlucht op Cagliari. Ook een privé rondleiding in het museum gekregen. Super goede airco in de kamer. In een paar minuten is je hele kamer koel. De route moet je even weten: rijd naar het dorpje. Volg met de auto de bordjes naar het museum. In een straatje door het centrum zie je in een onopvallend zijstraatje een steen met de tekst “Omu Axiu”. Dat is de ingang van het museum. Niet dat straatje inrijden, maar je auto langs de weg parkeren. Na aankomst moet je je melden bij het museum. De kamers liggen op ca 50 meter van het museum in een zijstraatje. Denk als uitje ook eens aan een ritje met de Trenino Verde smalspoor trein de bergen in. Gaat enkele keren per week en is de moeite waard.
