Booked a room there but did not arrive there till after 12pm, approaching the intercom asking about our booking only to be turned away. Disappointing knowing that we had travelled 11hrs only to do another 11hrs next day to be denied a room for a rest up. Not returning there ever again!

Room not booked as per arrangement

arrived with printed itinerary, only to find no room booked. Had come down to Family wedding , with relatives staying in other cottages only to be put in budget accommodation away from family and friends for the first night and told there may be nothing for the second night, apart from beds being set up in the conference area. Had to use communal bathroom facilities .Owners to full credit, admitted that they had made an error with the booking and they did their level best to rectify the problem. They were able to offer the same as above for the second night. Certainly took the gloss off the weekend.

Lovely Individual Cottages

This is now our third stay at Cottage Park and we will be back. The individual cottages are roomy and comfortable with a separate bedroom and very quiet. They are a little dated but very clean and are serviced every day. Nice easy walk to all the factory shops and beyond. Excellent

Units great - need working wifi (apparently coming

Unit very spacious, clean and tidy. My only gripe is the wifi didn't work - however the owners are apparently getting a new system. You may want to check this beforehand if having wifi is important. The units had air conditioning - which was much needed. However the conference facilities didn't - and it was also much needed. Again, if you are looking for conference facilities during summer you should check for air conditioning. It was nice the units were surrounded by trees. The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend Cottage Park.

Pleasant rural setting.

Only used this as an overnight stay while we were going to a wedding. So cannot really comment on our "experience".

Nice setting and detached units

The units separated from each other was a pleasant experience as we didn't hear the neighbours toilet flushing or voices, as is a common experience in motels. Double glazing also ensured that no noise was heard from the adjacent main road.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Very comfortable clean rooms. Has everything you need including heat pump. On state highway 1 so some traffic noise but handy and easy to find.

UNSATISFIED. FEEL RIPPED OFF

I booked online from Australia . On arrival in New Zealand I had to withdraw from the accommodation at the Cottage park in what appeared to be a small shipping container . Cold and unventilated. My sons asthmatic and after 5 minutes we had to get out of there and seek out other accomadation at our expense . Very helpful staff with very bad facilities . I'm not stuck up in fact I know how to rough it but these cabins are not HOLIDAY ACCOMODATION . There better suited to a Free room for a homeless person or as a dog kennel. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE .

Great motel close to Otaki.

We booked out most of the cabins for one night as we had family from many locations staying. This was a great place to stay. Roomy, clean and comfortable cabins. Beautiful setting and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Facilities clean as, nice fruit trees. Parking at our Unit a bit difficult as only 2 parking lots directly next to 3 units. Unit a bit moist and carpet lined walls did not help to feel really clean Inside

Hotel staff were very warm and welcoming, and the room had all the facitilites we needed for our stay. I left a ring behind in the bathroom and they contacted me immediately to let me know they had found it. Convenient location as well.

The description of the room on Hotels.copm was not accurate so when we arrived and discovered that there was no en suite..and we had to pay $40 more for a room with an en suite, we were a bit dismayed.

Secure restful log cabin surrounded in gardens

Our stay was a plea sent experience enhanced by the atmosphere of the location and surroundings, walking distance to Otaki Village and 10 minutes to the beach. Importantly our cabin was clean and we received personal efficient friendly service each day.

acommodation on road trip

booked a room with two single beds via wotif . there were some left... photos on website showed a typical single room tidy clean two single beds side by side .which i requested . which I expected . for $85 ... instead when arrived late were give "railway carriage type hut with two beds no internal facilities eg outside bathroom . railway huts were overpriced for $85 and was not what was shown when I purchased the room ...ring them and check to confirm otherwise youll end up in a railway carriage hut

Günstiges Hotel mit freundlichen Personal

Bewertung für Budget unit. Sehr günstig und deswegen auch sehr spartanisch ausgestattet. Toilette, Küche und Bad im extra Gebäude. Völlig ausreichend wenn man nur kurz übernachten möchte.
