The property is very cool and a different experience. Breakfast was good, they offer different tours/events. Lots of stairs!! The showers were clean but the water pressure wasn't great. Overall, it was a positive experience.

It's so cool & fun to have a day in the ex-jail. In this price, they even provide breakfast. If they sell the prisoner uniform would be great.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Parking was secure, but a limited number of spaces available. Basic breakfast included, as well as full kitchen amenities and large shared fridges if you preferred to cook your own meals. When we were there they had a pub crawl (19+) and various other organized activities happening as well as a daily jail tour - all included. The only issue we encountered was the water pressure in the showers on the sixth floor was a slow trickle at best.

It was a very unique experience to spend the night is a jail cell. This is not a regular hotel, so the amenities are shared. I was happy with the room. It was very clean with a comfortable bed. The lighting was very adequate and the WIFI was great. The continental breakfast was basic but also adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hostel was very convenient for touring the downtown markets and restaurants.

The entire place was super clean and the double bed was really comfortable. FYI:The bottom of the door is open to hallway for air circulation, so even with the quiet hours of 11pm to 9am, I would suggest ear plugs. The breakfast was more than adequate- coffee, cereal, fruit, bagels and hot food. Highly recommend for a reasonably priced, unique stay in downtown area.

The hostel is quite nice and well-maintained with a rustic feel! The Room, hallways, showers/toilets were clean, with 24/7 reception and staff are helpful. The breakfast was tasty, but limited in options, but then again you get what you pay for. Good for solo travelers who spend the day exploring and just need somewhere to sleep and shower.
