"I was very surprised at the condition of the property when I got there. Expedia reviews have this property as an 8 out of 10. It's closer to a 3 or 4 and if you factor in the price then a 5. It hasn't been updated since it was built however long ago. It feels very unclean. Everything feels wet in the room. The cleaning chemicals are incredibly overwhelming. Staff was mostly helpful. I just don't think the cheap price can make up for the quality here"

"Hotel is dated (although freshly painted) Hall carpets smell like wet dirty sand Bed (and pillows) are Hard (pillows smelled like dirty hair) Maid entered my room-even though there was a Privacy Please on the door knob Stated non smoking hotel-yet people were smoking at the picnic tables (beneath the hotel) on their balconies and in front of the hotel under the carport Pool was Disgusting (inside and out) water was forever Cloudy and there was never a smell of chlorine signs it was cleaned...

"Close to beach, central location to all of the OBX. 7 eleven just a 5 min walk away. Steps away from beach. Fridge and microwave in room. Room on the smaller side but still comfortable for 2 adults and 1 teen. We stayed in 2 bed courtyard view room. Free parking, but spaces can fill up in the high season. We always found a spot, but at times it was the only spot available and could get pretty tight. Staff seemed friendly and available if needed. No security deposit charged to card. Best...

"Great beach stay! Recommend for a long weekend trip. Conveniently located near the Duck shops and restaurants and a short drive to Corolla. Cute, coastal, southern decor with great beach access. We enjoyed the fire pits at night. The staff was friendly and breakfast at the lifesaving station restaurant was delicious!"
