"The room was pretty clean overall. I am not sure if there was actually breakfast served or not. The walls are paper thin you can hear every single noise around you. The wifi was awful it was below average internet speed when it worked and it disconnected several times from my devices. The TV only has cable so bring a Roku or FireStick to plug in to the back of the TV for streaming services. The nightly price for a weekend stay was reasonable considering the condition of the property. The hotel seemed to be a safe area. The one staff member I saw when checking in & checking out was very friendly. "

"The property indicates it it a smoke free property but there's a faint smell of smoke that is a turn off. If you are on a budget, this is decent to stay for a night."

"Good hotel for the price. I liked the refrigerator with the freezer. I was able to refreeze my ice blocks for my cooler. very spacious. good parking, close to the room I was in. good guest services."

"Didn’t look bad from the outside. The lobby was even nice. The room…. Never again. The mattress was like concrete with a sheet over it. The bed frame was a big metal box that popped every time i moved! I also noticed the door had a very large gap at the bottom. I could literally sit on the bed and identify every shoe that walked by. Not sure if the place flooded in the past. "

"I’ll start with the positives because I always try to be fair. The location of Haven Inn in Louisburg is super convenient for Seby Jones Performing Arts. Also, the front desk girl who helped reactivate my key card in the morning when we got locked out was genuinely nice and helpful. Now… The photos online are a little… optimistic. You can tell they attempted a renovation at some point, but the renovation team fell way short. The floors are bubbling, separating, and growing things in the in between. Listen—I am not fancy at all. I’m the kind of traveler who just wants a clean place to sleep and a decent shower. But the bathtub was rough. There was mildew halfway up the tub and the shower curtain had clearly seen some things. Shower skipped for us. For three people, we had one towel and two wash rags, a used roll of toilet paper, and a collection of used mystery, mismatched lotion/conditioner/shampoo bottles. When I asked for more towels, they told me they had to wait for the other cleaning lady to finish washing some. The towels we eventually saw looked like they had served faithfully for about a decade and the mini fridge looked like it had rolled out of the back of someone’s pickup truck and was trying its best. No bugs (we hope) (and no refunds) so we stayed. 😂 And no, I didn't complain - I got the hint with the "All Sales Final, No Refunds" sign at check-in. My suggestion- book an Airbnb early. Sorry Haven, I kinda feel bad leaving a less than par review. "
