We enjoyed this as a family and booked it for the restaurant & facilities. The room was a family room large and well maintained. The pool was fantastic and the children had a great time. It’s a members club so expect to have to book a slot and be removed after 30 minutes on busy days. The time limitation wasn’t expected, along with the members priority over guests. But that’s for rules. You can’t book in longer just come back and hop you can get in. The reception is hit and miss, we must have had the wrong shifts of a grumpy, sharp direct lady who was dealing with car park complaints for charges for people attending courses. They weren’t happy and we were tarnished with the same contempt. The restaurant was affirmatively closed with a direct toy can eat from the bar menu. We went out taxi to the city was easy and our money welcomely accepted. We like to eat well as a family for 4 so that’s £700 thr hotel didn’t receive from us. Over all it’s an on the day hotel as the 4 star not 3 star was the rescue package of the second days FOH team and the first days leisure team. Bar team learn your drinks - a menu card look up for a GnT doesn’t swing it in a hotel of your “quality”. Do depending on what your going for, we had the added bonus of the builders outside our window on the Monday morning to make sure that we had left nice and early. Shame this could be a great hotel - like before at Jury’s Inn. Take this hotel for what it is a convenient stop off
