"Great for the price"

"What an amazing stay! From the moment we checked in, we were blown away by the beautiful property, outstanding service, and gorgeous room. This trip was a gift from our kids, and it turned out to be one of the best presents we’ve ever received. We made wonderful memories and can’t thank everyone enough for such a special experience. Highly recommend! We stayed at another Hilton prior to this one and I gave it the same review. This is a hotel that can be trusted wherever you book."

"My daughter and I stayed here for the mother-daughter Gilmore Girls trip and I can't say enough good things. From the first moment of walking in the door, the view of the Housatonic River was breathtaking. The beds are gorgeous and so comfortable. The room is very spacious and relaxing. The little soaps provided are premium and smell so good. We will definitely be back. "There was nothing about this place that we liked. The parking lot was being used by a crew of workers. The night after we slept in the king sized bed we found there was debris way down under the covers. It was disgusting. Obviously no one changed the sheets. The desk help was apologetic, but never offered to come and see what we were talking about and never offered to reimburse us!"

"The entire hotel was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good with many offerings. Check-in staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would stay there again on a return trip."

"The best way to describe this hotel. It’s a vintage hotel with a really nice vibe. Has an outdoor pool. Has an indoor pool as well that is heated. a really big fitness center with a couple TVs. Sometimes the lobby temperature could be off heck no big deal. I’ll come here every year. Pool outside is on pomperaug river overlooking the golf course. Plenty of parking. Restaurant onsite with great drinks and bar menu. TVs. Closes at 900/930pm"

"They do a three star job of being a 3-star hotel. It’s worn and any room repairs were done with minimal skills. The tub felt Like it was paper thin. The bed was a marshmallow But the staff was nice, particularly house keeling. All on site restaurants are closed Mon and Tue. Free coffee in the lobby in the AM"

"This is a gem of a place. I have stayed at the abner many times and am delighted to say it is always a treat. The hotel is warm charming sparkling clean and perfectly located with shopping and dining just outside your doors. The rooms are comfortably appointed with all the extras of a posh stay .
